We produced 500 video ad variations. We ran 12. Here’s why.

We created 500 different ad variations of this BetMGM video app to find the 12 "unicorns" that actually delivered results.
This is the power of A/B (split) testing. We stopped guessing and let the data lead. We systematically test every part of our video ad campaigns:
• 🧪 The Video Story: We test different hooks (problem-focused vs. solution-focused), narratives (UGC vs. founder-led), and CTAs.
• 🧪 The Ad Copy: We tested different headlines (short vs. long, question vs. statement) and primary text (long-form story vs. short, punchy bullet points).
By A/B testing the video creative and the copy, we found the winning combinations.
The result?
Instead of spreading the budget across 500 video ads we hoped would work, 100% of the ad spend went behind the 12 that were proven to perform.
That’s how you scale. You don't guess. You test, find the winners, and pour gasoline on the fire.
