Mt Whitney showed us that we were in for much more than we expected on our first attempt to summit. See the beautiful 4k video linked here!

This video is the story first attempt to summit . It was May 23, 2017, I met at friend that night to go camping at Alabama Hills, in Lone Pine, CA. I knew the trip was not off to a great start when I forgot my hiking boots. After purchasing new boots the next morning, we headed up to Portal where we found the trailhead for the . We started out later than we hoped we would at around 11:55am. Our plan was to head to Trail Camp the first day. Then we would head to the summit and back on the second day. We encountered snow at about 2 miles into the trail. This would be our first time mountaineering. That’s when things started to break from our plan. We were having trouble finding the trail as footprints lead everywhere in the snow. We then became separated. We later lost the trail after Outpost Camp. We had to climb huge mountains. Something didn’t seem right and my friend was no where in sight. While I was half way up a mountain, a storm hit. I worried that I would not make it to Trail Camp before dark and that it would storm throughout the night. I decided to head back. I felt terrible leaving my friend behind. I asked people at Outpost Camp to tell him if they saw him. I also texted him and called the Sheriff’s office the next day. Fortunately, he made it back safe the next day. Although, he had a very rough night searching for me. Too often people only share the stories of their summit. However, it seems helpful to everyone to also share those stories when we decided to turn back. In hindsight, we both were very happy that we choose to play it safe and save the summit for another day. Make sure you are prepared for this very beautiful but dangerous hire before you go. Why would you want to go to Death Valley, California? See why you just might want to go in the stunning 4k video linked here!

, blew us away as we traveled there for our first trip. We set out to find the amazing Death Valley National Park. This place is known for it's world record breaking heat. On top of that, we planned to go here. We arrived at night to the Furnace Creek Campground. The next morning we set off to see Badwater Basin, which is the lowest place in North America. Then we went to the Devil's Golf Course, The Artist Palette and Artist Drive. The colors in these rocks were like nothing we have ever seen before. Then we went on the Golden Canyon hike, which is the most popular trail in Death Valley. Later we went to Dante's View, which is the best panoramic view of this amazing valley. Finally, we raced to Zabriskie Point to catch an incredible sunset there. The next morning we went back to see this amazing place in the day. We then went to Saltwater creek to see the pupfish play. We stopped for a moment in hopes to find the super bloom, which is flowers growing road side here. Soon after, we went to the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes. These are some of the most amazing sand dunes in southern California. Last but not least, we went to hike the Mosaic Canyon trail. The rock formations were like a work of art. There was so much things to do here that we have to visit this epic destination again!

Havasupai Falls, Arizona was where we witnessed some of the best waterfalls in the world! Now we are hiking back to the hilltop. See our adventure in the video linked here!

We woke up around 2:30am and packed up all of our gear. We dropped off our bags and headed our from the Havasupai Campground around 3:30am. We first encountered Havasu Falls, which we said our goodbyes for now. Then we crossed a bridge looking down at the beautiful Havasu Creek / Colorado River. As we walk we see the glowing eyes of what we believe to be a fox as well as incredible stars in the sky. We then arrive in the Supai Village for a quick break. At around 4:30am, people are already there in line for the helicopter. We make it into the canyon, which is part of the Grand Canyon around 5:16am. Our progress goes really well as we race to beat the sunrise. Around 7:50am, we see a sign to turn up towards the hilltop. This is when we encounter our our first sun for the day. Soon after we turn, we see the initial pack of mules with three Supai tribe members. We then make the grueling climb up to the Hilltop. Overall, we had such an amazing time visiting the Havasupai waterfalls. This is part 3, be sure to see the first 2 parts of this series as well.

Hot springs in the heart of the Sierra Nevada, California were well worth our long journey!

Havasupai Falls in Arizona has some of the best waterfalls in the world! See our experience in the video linked here!

After recovering from our hike, we walked over to check out the amazing Havasu Falls! This is the first big waterfall that you see before entering your campsite. It is also the closest waterfall to the campground. We just loved the contrast of the orange rocks of the Grand Canyon vs. the stunning turquoise water flowing down. After truly relaxing here, we headed back to camp to settle down for our next day of more waterfalls. In the morning, we woke up and hiked down to Mooney Falls. This waterfall does not disappoint. You can first see an incredible view of the Mooney Falls from above. Then you make the semi-treacherous climb down to relax at the base. The climb down involved entering a cave and climbing down wet ladders and chains until you reach this desert paradise. We found a swing to jump in the water, which was so much fun. After Mooney Falls, we hiked to Beaver Falls. It's easy to lose the trail on this hike. There was also several water crossings to keep you cool. This hike was just under 2 hours each way for us and was much longer than we expected. Since we thought it might be a shorter hike, we almost ran out of water. Thankfully, a Supai tribe member lent us his water filter to collect some water for our way back. Beaver Falls was the best place to relax. It was in the middle of the canyon and had several nice pools to enjoy. We headed back and encountered some wildlife beginning to eat dinner. I also had an injury which I hoped would not get worse as we hiked back. We then headed back to camp and prepared for our hike home the next day. We had such an incredible time at these epic waterfalls!
