The Monroe Morning Optimists have been making cheese curds since 1971, totaling a whopping 10 million individual curds. Outside of upgrading their equipment, sales go back to youth in the community, which is estimates to be over $1.5 million. On Day 4, we visited the 🏆Camp of Champs Tent, where the top 2 animals from each species were showcased. The kids were proud to display their animals and tell us how long they've been showing. 🐰🐮🐷🐔

The last time we visited Raevynn Jackson in April, she had just purchased a calf with her FFA SAE grant. We met with her again July 17 after showing in the Green County Fair’s Jr. Dairy Show to talk about the preparation process — not just for the local fair but the State Fair in two weeks. 🐄🏅
