With the coverage of Monroe's Pocket Park Sneak Peek on September 13, we hit 💯 GCTV News stories! We officially launched February 5 with the breaking news of Green County's internet outage, but began filming pieces as early as January 9. We've covered a variety of newsworthy events including New Glarus's Elementary School, multiple groundbreakings, the Best Burger Contest, the Green County Fair, festivals and so much more. In that time, we've bettered our techniques, expanded our network, met so many amazing people and switched hosts.

🏐 New Glarus suffered a 25-16, 25-15, 25-15 sweep to Cambridge in a Capitol South Conference game Tuesday, Sept. 23. The Glarner Knights were still able to celebrate their six seniors Kennedi Esser, Addi Kammerude, Katelyn Kleeman, Emerson DeRouin, Jaycee Dimaggio and Adrianna Gruenhagen by putting them on the floor to start and finish the match.

🏐FINAL: New Glarus 0, Cambridge 3
The Bluejays swept the Glarner Knights 25-16, 25-15, 25-15 on Senior Night Tuesday, Sept. 23. New Glarus head coach Kayla Zimmerman began with an all senior lineup and subbed them back in for match point, where Adrianna Gruenhagen saved a rally with a dive, resulting in a Cambridge attack error and Knight point.

🏈We double-dipped for a double feature in Week 5 football. Up first, Monticello ran into powerhouse No. 4 North Crawford, losing 56-0. The Trojans built up a 36-0 lead in the first quarter alone. In the nightcap, No. 6 New Glarus earned a revenge win over Brodhead-Juda 42-14, after suffering an 18-0 shutout last season. The Glarner Knights defense, ranked in the state for tackles and interceptions, scored off four of five Cardinal turnovers.

🏐Juda won its first conference set since Sept. 24, rallying to defeat Black Hawk 26-24 in a Six Rivers East league game on Thursday, Sept. 18. But the momentum the Panthers had in the first set quickly faded, as the Warriors won the next three sets 25-15, 25-16 and 25-12 to take the game.

🏈FINAL: New Glarus 42, Brodhead-Juda 14
The Glarner Knights, ranked No. 6 in Division 5 per Bound, may have gotten off to a shaky start with a fumble on their own 37-yard line. But NG forced a three-and-out on defense and went down to score on the next drive -- and it was mostly all New Glarus from there. Jordan Dix scored both TDs for the Cardinals and had a 51-yard rush during one of those drives.

The Ponies ran into the No. 4 Trojans in a Ridge and Valley conference game on Friday, Sept. 19, going down 36-0 in just the first quarter. The league is a tough one, with North Crawford ranked No. 4 and Belmont ranked No. 5, per Bound.

🏐FINAL: Juda 1, Black Hawk 3
The Panthers pulled out an extra-point first set victory 26-24 with a block from senior Rianna Sullivan. According to available stats on Max Prep Sports and WisSports.net, it was the first conference set Juda won since Sept. 24, 2024, against none other than Black Hawk. But the Warriors rebounded to win the final three sets 25-15, 25-16, 25-12.

🏐 Likely a preview of the Rock Valley Conference Rock Division championship, Brodhead hosted Edgerton in a league game on Tuesday, Sept. 16. The Cardinals and Crimson Tide battled through five sets, with host Brodhead suffering the loss (26-24, 23-25, 17-25, 25-17, 11-15). Despite a comeback in the first set, the Cardinals consistently played from behind —outside of the fourth game — and were unable to rally for the victory.
