It's official - Glory's Kids Fun Run will take place after the Glory5K is over! Kids run is no cost all fun!!! Plus we will be flying kites and playing in the inflatable park while the race is going on.

It's not just a race.... it's a community event that helps show NICU families there is light on the other side!

🌏Walk A Mile In Our Shoes Educating And Empowering Those With Lupus🌏

➡️Richwood, Louisiana— On April 25, 2026 Kount Teens 2 Mentor will be hosting “Community Lupus Awareness Walk.” which is a fundraiser event in support for Lupus Awareness Month. The “Walk A Mile In Our Shoes” will be a family fun-filled event with impactful information for all who attend. The event will kick off with a 2K walk or ride followed by live music and a guest survivor testimony. Our goal is to advocate awareness, show support, and bring recognition to the many lupus warriors in our community living with this mysterious disease.

➡️According to the lupus foundation of America, there are 1.5 million Americans living with lupus, and there is an estimate of 16,000 new cases reported each year. Among people of color who are affected with lupus, studies have shown that African –American men and women have the highest incidence rate for the disease.

➡️ “Although lupus is a genetic disease, we know that people with lupus can take steps to manage their disease and prevent or minimize its effects. That is why we created this walk, to bring awareness and empowerment to those in our community about lupus and ways to support the cause,” says Jonee’ Williams founder of Kount Teens 2 Mentor.

➡️The event will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, Richwood Multipurpose Center, Richwood Louisiana from 7:00 am – 12:00 pm.

🌏🌏Kount Teens 2 Mentoring Organization, established in 2019, is a 501(3) c, a non-profit organization headquartered in Monroe, Louisiana. The purpose of our organization is to instill hope, provide guidance, and equip our youth with life skills that will be sufficient in promoting growth and the development of healthy choices as they prepare to face life’s challenges. We offer youth new strategies for facilitating productive dialogue about various issues in the community and the world. It is our goal to serve as instructors by sharing knowledge and tools that will assist our youth in navigating successfully through life’s journeys.

JUDICIAL CAMPAIGN ANNOUNCEMENT

Ouachita and Morehouse Parishes,

After prayerful consideration, I am announcing my candidacy for Judge of the 4th Judicial District upon the retirement of Judge Robert Johnson.

I have served this community as an attorney for 25 years, and I have also served this community as a pastor for 28 years. During this time, I have been and remain a public defender across multiple parishes, while also maintaining a private practice focused on family law, as well as criminal and personal injury law.

Through this work, I have represented individuals from all walks of life and have gained a deep understanding of the responsibilities and impact of the judiciary in both civil and criminal proceedings.

My service as a pastor has continually guided me to serve the people with whom I live and work, always striving to lead with compassion, fairness, and integrity.

Through Janet Floyd Ministries, I have worked to uplift and support our community by providing school supplies, toy drives, mentorship services, feeding programs, and other outreach initiatives. For the past two years and currently, I also serve as Executive Director of JRF Outreach (Joining Resources to Families), an organization dedicated to meeting the needs of families throughout our parishes by providing vital services and community support.

I am entering this race with humility, confidence, and a firm commitment to justice, justice that is thoughtful, impartial, and grounded in service to our community.
