Here's a sneak peak at the July cover of Sky Valley Living!
Unfortunately July 2018 will be the final issue as the publication is being officially closed down June 23rd. :(
I've spent days thinking of how I would announce this to everyone as I've first let advertisers, contributors, and friends know about the possibility of it closing. I was still holding on to a glimmer of hope of saving it.
So many of you have told me how much you enjoy the publication through Facebook, text, email, and in person and I've enjoyed helping create your monthly community publication. People loved it and I had many long term goals to expand the content but fell short of adding the advertising it needed now to be sustainable. At the end of the month, it needed to make money.
My own daughter is featured on the final cover to share how amazing I think she is but also to share how important this publication has been to me as well. It's been a labor of love and I believed I would see Sky Valley Living grow into its potential over the long term.
I was amazed how thankful families have been to be featured in Sky Valley Living. Parents of the ones featured in the Kids 2 Kids, Featured Athlete, and Young Achiever were so excited to see the articles. There's so many more of you I haven't had a chance to feature but I planned to in the future. I've learned from this experience and love the concept of a "neighborhood" publication. I feel there's a way to make it work in this area but I need some time to regroup and start over.
Thank you Sky Valley. You're a beautiful place with great people.
