Social Circle faces a runoff election next month as Social Circle Board of Education Chair Taylor Morris will face challenger Chadwick McGuire in a special election after neither was able to garner more than 50% of the vote. Morris eked by McGuire with 439 votes to McGuire's 434, each receiving around 46% of the vote, but the 69 votes received by Seneca Ellison, representing about 7% of votes, kept both candidates from earning enough to win outright. Morris and McGuire will be back on the ballot on Dec. 2 for the runoff to determine who will win the seat of BOE Chair.
