Ouachita Parish Sheriff Marc Mashaw explains how his department is working with local school systems to connect emergency alerts, 3D mapping, and nearby cameras.

When a teacher activates a Rave Alert, deputies can know not only which school needs help, but where that teacher is and quickly pull up camera views to get eyes on the situation.

In an active emergency, having that information before arriving could completely change the response.
