Community Media of the Foothills is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that operate Monrovia’s community media center and television studio. We facilitate, promote and produce public service television programming on behalf of Monrovia’s three public and community access channels: KGEM – Community & Education Channel (Spectrum 3) KMAC – Public Access & Freedom of Speech Channel (Spectrum 98) KGOV – Government & Municipal Meetings Channel (Spectrum 99) We offer training, equipment, and the use of our studio to residents, volunteers, and people who work in Monrovia. Alex from Viajante Pelo Mundo stopped by today and we had the pleasure of showing him around some of Monrovia's landmarks — Route 66 Bridge, the KGEM-TV Studio, the Flying A Gas Station, Monrovia's Historical Museum, the iconic Aztec Hotel, and Canyon Park.
For the past year, Alex has been crossing the Americas in his Fiat Cabrito, starting in Brazil and making his way toward Alaska, with some epic side trips along Route 66. Truly a trip of a lifetime! It was a joy to meet Alex and share in his adventurous spirit. Safe travels on the rest of the journey!
