What's in a voice?
So, we're walking through the Montauk Chemists for the first time, and amazed at the truly vast selection of items for sale .
I mean, Everything. !!! Things you didn't even know you were looking for, but really glad you found, They're there.
After you've been in the store and spent an hour or two browsing around and discovering row after well organized row of shelves and nooks with more cool items , and seen it for yourself,
you'll find the question changes from
"What do they have here ?" to "What don't they have? ".

We figured it was better to leave the coolest items with some of the greatest packaging for you to discover yourself.
But as great as the store is, with all there is to find,
the real find is the guy just out of sight working above the shopping level, behind the wall that encloses the Pharmacy.
Like the Wizard of Oz, hidden just out of sight is one of the nicest, most caring, personable human beings you could ever hope to meet.
A friend to everyone who got their prescriptions filled at White's Drug Store, Montauk's beloved pharmacist, Frank Calvo was very missed after Whites Closed , and for those who feared he left town and who didn't know he opened Montauk Chemists,
every time we'd drive past the now closed and empty White's Drug Store,
it wasn't so much the store that we missed, it was Frank.
You can sense what I'm talking about just by looking at that grand face with that warm smile of his.
So, there we were strolling through Montauk Chemists when out of nowhere , we hear that familiar voice .
"Hey !! That sounds like FRANK !!!
and low and behold, there he was, doing his Frank thing
and it was like running into your best friend from High School that you haven't seen in years, it was like seeing that relative of your family who's come to America to visit you as their head appeared amongst the line of people coming off the ocean liner.
Or emerging from the gangway at the gate at the airport,
or opening your front door to see the cousins you grew up with, who've just driven down from Maine for the family's big annual Thanksgiving get together .
Hearing that voice, of the guy everyone loves like family,
AND recognizing he's the wizard behind this great store,
Two words --Pure Joy.
