Inside the Outpost Folk Heritage

Since 1987, the Outpost in the Burbs has presented "music and more in Montclair."
Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes, Foy Vance, Beth Orton, Bettye Lavette, Richard Thompson, the Lone Bellow - veteran and up-and-coming folk artists have graced our stages.

Daily 7-8am and weekends 4-5pm, the companion show continues the tradition.

Every week, on Radio Free Montclair, you hear stories about our town, from local content creators in our town —not some corporate playlist or syndicated drivel from three states away.

Radio Free Montclair is a truly local online radio platform. Operated by local volunteers. Funded by listeners like you. No commercials. No algorithms. Just real people who care about this community and our local content creators.

But here's the thing: community radio doesn't pay for itself.
