Have you heard our newest show from Montclair Art Museum (MAM)?

"Maybe, Actually, Museums Are For Me" is a program from the Montclair Art Museum focused on inviting listeners who may have never been exposed to or had an interest in the arts to learn more about the culture of museums. No museology or art history degree required! It's hosted by Alex Pavljuk, the museum's Digital Content Strategist, who works in the industry, but still sometimes wonders, Why is that not on display? or Should I know who painted that? Join him as he talks with museum professionals, museum-goers, and exhibiting artists about how to approach and feel comfortable exploring museums.

The rain date is over. The music is on.

Uptown Sound Music Festival moved to tomorrow, Saturday, October 3rd 2026, and the forecast was worth the wait.

Join your neighbors at Anderson Park in Upper Montclair from 2 to 8 PM. Four bands. Six hours of music. Admission is free.

The lineup
2:05 PM: Rho & The Nomads. Soulful reggae, from the '70s classics to their own originals.
3:20 PM: El Ritmo. Salsa, cumbia, bachata and merengue. You will not stay in your chair.
5:10 PM: Waterbury Road. Some of Montclair's finest musicians, together for 90 minutes.
7:00 PM: The Bard Band, headlining.

Bring the kids. Bring blankets and lawn chairs. Bring the dog, too. Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome.

The day will be gorgeous and the music will be better.

The Uptown Sound Music Festival is the brainchild of Dan & Day's Burgers & Shakes and we are proud to partner with them for this event.

Local musicians play the stage and local businesses support it, led by our presenting sponsor, Frederic's Fine Jewelers. The best way to thank them is to show up.

Today is the last day of the Radio Free Montclair summer fundraiser. We have raised 64% of our goal.

Thank you to everyone who has generously donated.

Our local community radio station runs on volunteers, donated gear and the generosity of neighbors. No corporate owner. No ads telling you what to think. Just your town, on the air.

This fall we added something new: live broadcasts of every Montclair High School football game, called by Mountie Radio. Every play reaches grandparents who can't make the bleachers, parents stuck at work, and alumni a thousand miles away.
It is carried by our volunteers and our equipment. Both cost money to keep running.

Our summer fundraiser closes tonight. $10 helps. $50 helps more. Any amount keeps the signal alive.

This summer, Radio Free Montclair broadcast from your town, about your town, with your neighbors at the microphone.
