We've got more effective drugs than ever before to treat a wide range of diseases. But what good are these treatments if patients can't get them? Educating prescribers about issues related to patient access has been an increasingly important part of the programming we develop at Physician Resources. New survey data shows we are in sync with prescribers. A surveyed sample of physicians, NPs, and PAs--including those in dermatology--recently said that they need pharmaceutical companies to provide educational support (43%) and resources related to insurance coverage and financial support (39%). Healthcare in the US continues to evolve, but high drug development costs, the influence of PBMs, and the use of prior authorizations are here for the foreseeable future. At PR, we recognize that prescribers need to understand not only how newer treatments work but also how to get them into patients' hands.

Physician Resources is proud to have produced the latest DEF Biologic & Small Molecule CME Bootcamp in Dallas this weekend. This program has continuously evolved over the years, and every Bootcamp has been different from the ones before. This year, we are excited to innovate once again with a first-ever educational theme for the bootcamp series. Our expert faculty often discusses the "sorting hat" of therapeutic selection. We went all in on this apt analogy to implement a Harry Potter inspired theme that carried through from the educational slides and handouts to the decor and food service. Our attendees were able to interact during engaging "house" challenges, and they left the event feeling like they truly had "mastered the magic of treatment selection" for inflammatory skin diseases.

Physician Resources proudly congratulates Susan C. Taylor, MD, FAAD, as she begins her term as President of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Taylor is the first African American dermatologist and sixth woman to hold this prestigious role.

A leader in dermatology, Dr. Taylor has dedicated her career to advancing patient care, education, and advocacy. We’ve had the privilege of working with her for more than two decades on scientific poster presentations and articles, advisory boards, symposia and more; it is always a pleasure! She is more than well suited to address the needs of the dermatologist.

We wish her success as she leads the AAD in tackling key challenges, from improving access to care to supporting dermatology professionals through advocacy and education. Congratulations, Dr. Taylor! 👏
