Great news from Samba Montclair -- now the only restaurant in NJ that's a validated gluten-free safe spot through the Gluten Intolerance Group. It was a pleasure to work with Executive Chef/Owner Ilson Goncalves on "The Samba Montclair Cookbook" (A Life in Print, 2017), a beautiful collection of recipes and reminiscences from his childhood in Brazil.

Chef and owner Ilson Goncalves has been diagnosed with Celiac Disease.

This is very exciting and feels close to my heart: 100 years ago my grandfather attended Northeastern University and it is currently where you'll find my son. I look forward to learning more about the historical artifacts The Boston Research Center at Northeastern University finds in attics throughout the city!

Over the course of the coming year, researchers at the Boston Research Center at Northeastern will travel to neighborhoods throughout Boston to collect hard-to-find historical artifacts and share the digital history of the city with its residents.
