I’ve had it happen at big clubs, little clubs, even festivals. Something is mentally wrong with a lot of people. The level of disrespect is next level, I just don’t understand it. Is it a genuine illness? Am I belong unkind? I mean, is it Asperger’s or some spectrum type of s**t? What in the world would possess a person to approach someone who is in the zone, distract them, interrupt their flow and then proceed to ask them if they can jump on the decks… I just don’t get it. I’m gonna start saying yes! I’m gonna form a collective of DJs who’s only gigs come via jumping on during other DJs sets. It’s gonna be a DJ mega group called THE INTRUDERS.

LIMELIGHT is reborn… once again. I don’t expect it to be restored to its former glory, but at least someone’s gonna use the space for something hospitality focused and that’s a step in the right direction.

You have to protect yourself in this industry. It’s business, and business has a way of teaching you the same lesson until you finally learn it.

I’ve been pulled into agencies that made big promises, only to f**k me over for a few thousand dollars here and there. It never made sense to me. Burn a relationship for a little money today and lose what it might have become tomorrow. So for almost ten years, I didn’t have an agent.

Now I do. And the reason is simple: I don’t see the same patterns I saw in the four agents before him. It’s an open relationship built on truth, trust, and mutual respect. That matters more than promises.

You have to surround yourself with people you trust. Not every relationship will last. Some will run their course, some will fall apart, and some will surprise you. You control your side of the table. They control theirs. All you can do is conduct yourself properly, pay attention to who you’re dealing with, and protect yourself.

The problem with the music industry right now is nobody gets to have the whole conversation anymore. You finish an album, eight records that belong together, that say something together, and then you watch it get cut into pieces and scattered across different labels, one single at a time. As an artist, that’s a hard f**king pill to swallow. But it is what it is. So I figured I’d put some samples of these eight tracks up here and let people hear what I’ve been working on. I don’t even know when half of them are coming out yet, but I’ll keep you posted.

And yeah, I know this isn’t necessarily the sound people know me for. Everybody comes up and tells me they love this edit or that bootleg, and I’m grateful for that, but that’s never been the mark I wanted to leave on the world. I’ve spent years making original records, had a lot of number ones doing it, and there’s a lot more to me than chopping up somebody else’s song. These records are part of that. So far the feedback from my peers and from DJs actually out there making a living playing records has been f**king incredible. That means something to me. Anyway, here’s the music. Hope you dig it.
