Enjoyed another great Tuesday night TribeInTheSky jam celebrating the appreciation of musician and photographer Bill Brown who has been very giving with his work in support of other local artists. I always have a good time at the Tuesday night Tribe In The Sky jam hanging out with the music players and fans. I can't make it all the time but when I do it's very soulful and rewarding. I've been writing and recording songs for some time now and have quite a buildup of material. I've have not placed any with anyone but that was never my intention. I've been doing it out of my love of music since my teenage years and it's been the best therapy for keeping me mentally and physically strong. Although I've released a 45 in the 80's and some demo studio recordings which can be accessed on Soundcloud and ReverbNation with links on this page I have never officially released a full length record or CD and I'm ready. Being an expensive task which has always been the main setback I decided to invest in some recording gear coupled with what instruments and equipment I have already and do the home thing. "The Casanova Project". Being fortunate to find a new groove and inspiration here in Monterey and my affiliation with some local musicians here I've mined from the TribInTheSky jammers I'm going to set out to make a 10 song CD/LP. I'm looking forward to getting some favorite songs of mine multi track recorded and hoping for the best experience between the machines and me and perhaps some gracious friends. Hoping 2024 is fruitful in this endeavor. Peace!

Was a nice surprise seeing my picture in the Monterey Herald playing alongside Brad Mallory an area staple to the live music scene who puts this together with Jacqueline Kabat. Being involved with Tribe since I moved here in 2018 has been a pleasure. I love joining in with such a dedicated group of artists and music fans. Thanks Beth Peerless for the great article and helping fuel live music. Here is an edited informative excerpt from her piece which she does weekly.
"Whether you’re a longtime local musician or new to the area and looking for a place to meet new people, or a place to showcase some new music, or just to jam on any well-known song. The presenting folks from Tribe in the Sky, a loose knit group of people who gather every Tuesday, are celebrating seven years of doing so. At its latest location, Bulldog Sports Bar at 611 Lighthouse Ave., New Monterey, the event has evolved into a place where comedians and storytellers can get up onstage and do their thing between music sets."
