Join us in congratulating new alum Dashandria McKinney on earning her diploma last week! Dria was a Mass Comm major with a concentration in Broadcast Production. She minored in Social Media Administration.

Her favorite memories as a Mass Comm major involved getting hands-on experience with our digital filmmaking cameras. “It was super cool to be able to work with industry-level cameras early and be able to have that experience,” she says.

Isaiah completed our Multimedia Journalsim concentration. In those classes, he worked extensively as an anchor and reporter of our campus newscast, Vallo Vision News.

We're excited to have a Mass Comm alum as the new chair of the UM Board of Trustees!

University of Montevallo alum and trustee Tim Lupinacci ’88 was elected the new chair of the University’s Board of Trustees during its quarterly meeting in November.

Lupinacci and his wife, Ellen McElwee Lupinacci ’88, M.Ed. ’89, are active UM alumni. Tim Lupinacci was awarded the UMNAA Distinguished Alumni Award in 2021.
