Welcome back, Coach Davis! 🎣 The University of Montevallo is pleased to announce the hiring of Clent Davis as the new head coach of the UM bass fishing team. 💜💛

Davis is a 2009 UM graduate who double majored in history and kinesiology. He’s spent the past 14 years competing as a professional angler on the world’s top fishing circuits, earning Rookie of the Year honors in the FLW, capturing the Forest Wood Cup Championship, qualifying multiple times for the Bassmaster Classic and surpassing $1 million in career earnings.

Long before his professional success, Davis started the bass fishing team at Montevallo as a student. The team he helped build has gone on to win five consecutive Bass Pro Shops School of the Year titles presented by Abu Garcia, cementing its place as the nation’s top fishing program.

Join us for a press conference as we officially welcome Coach Davis back to the bricks!

Make sure your voice is heard in the search for the new president of the University of Montevallo. Students may send in questions to be asked of the candidates here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/UMFinalistQuestions

In person sessions are: 4/20, 4/24, 4/27, and 4/28.

Student sessions are 8:15am - 9:15am in the CFTA and the sessions open to all constituents are at 11am - 12:30pm. Please make sure to come out meet the candidates and help the student voices be heard!
