OLNEY, MD — Dunkin' announced today that Olney has been selected as the exclusive test market for its new Burridonut, a breakfast burrito formed into the shape of a donut. The company said the product will be available at both Olney-area Dunkin' locations beginning next week, and at the new Dunkin' just south of town in the Norbeck Center next month.

Company officials said the decision was driven by Olney's robust burrito market. "Every morning we'd watch customers buy coffee from us and then spend their breakfast dollars somewhere else on burritos," a spokesperson said. "At some point we realized we had become little more than a beverage service for the local burrito economy."

Local burrito spots were quick to counter the Dunkin' competition with new menu options, including Bubbakoo’s Beignet Burrito, the California Tortilla Cruller, and Qdoba's Boston Cream Burrito.

The launch has also reignited rumors that a third Dunkin' could eventually open in Olney. While company officials declined to comment, corporate expansion managers were recently seen scouting the vacant Medstar Urgent Care building on Georgia Avenue next to Brew Belly.

Montgomery County planners say if a third Dunkin' comes to fruition, they will update the Olney Sector Plan to merge the town's Dunkin' locations and fourteen burrito restaurants into a single mixed-use development known as Dunkin' Burrito Town Center.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — Just days after Montgomery County Public Schools' plan to build out a leased 161,500-square-foot warehouse in Gaithersburg collapsed due to county budget trimming, sources confirm MCPS has successfully arranged a sublease for the facility.

Under the agreement, the former warehouse at 750 Progress Way will be converted into what developers are calling "the largest Dunkin' location in Maryland south of Hagerstown."

MCPS officials expressed relief that they were off the hook for the $3 million-a-year lease. Instead, the funds will be used for polypropylene turf field upgrades at 18 county high schools, starting with Magruder and Wootton.

At press time, the deal was placed in potential jeopardy when Council leaders were overheard debating collective bargaining agreements with the Bakery, Confectionery, and Avocado Toast Workers International Union.

Opponents question his character and financial responsibility, but Banerjee calls it envy. “They’ve never had the thrill of watching their appeals get denied in unpublished per curiam opinions,” he said while dodging another process server. “I’m not just running for County Executive. I’m running from several judgments!”

With three weeks to go, the energy is electric. Friedson may have slick graphics and a polling consultant, but Banerjee has moral bankruptcy protection and a dream.
