The Silver Spring Thanksgiving Parade was fabulous! People ready showed up. There were almost 170 groups participating in the parade and tons of onlookers. Thank you, Silver Spring for starting Thanksgiving the rifgt way!

WE WILL BE PARTICIPATING IN THE THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE ON NOVEMBER 22ND!

Please join us for the THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE on Saturday, November 22, 2025!

Here are the details:

What: Thanksgiving Day Parade
When: Saturday, November 22, 2025
Time: 9:30 a.m. (meeting time) (parade starts at 10:00 a.m.)
Line Up: Vetern's Plaza, Silver Spring, MD

We will have fun, form new friendships, get our steps in, breathe fresh air, spend quality time together, and, to make it even more memorable, bask in the glory of the cheering crowd!

Invite your family and friends to join us. We plan to wear matching t-shirts as we stroll. Let me know if you can join us for the parade. We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you in your red, white, and blue!

Marilyn Pierre, who delivered a powerful speech about her superhero, Thurgood Marshall. She shared how both she and Justice Marshall walked the same halls at Howard University, and how his journey from Baltimore to Washington, D.C. symbolized perseverance, purpose, and progress.

Her message reminded us that greatness often begins with courage, faith, and the determination to break barriers. 💪🏽

It was a day filled with wisdom, growth, and inspiration, proof that voices can still move hearts and change minds.
