Thursday nights are a favorite at Wynlakes Golf & Country Club. With beautiful views, a relaxed atmosphere, and great food, the Terrace is the perfect place to gather with family and friends.

One of the biggest crowd-pleasers each week is Pizza Night, bringing neighbors together for good conversation and a fun evening at the Club. While parents unwind over dinner and drinks, kids can enjoy the courtyard just steps away.

If you're looking for a great way to wrap up the week, Thursday Nights on the Terrace are hard to beat!

Meet Virginia Ray. Virginia is a 10-year-old dancer with a big heart, a love for adventure, and enough energy to keep up with four nights of dance practice every week!

When she's not competing with Pike Road Dance Academy, you'll find her making dance videos with friends, riding bikes around Wynlakes, swimming, traveling with her family, or spending time with her two goldendoodles, Sam and Bo.

Meet Marti and Pippi, two four-legged friends who bring plenty of joy to their Wynlakes family.

Marti, a West Highland Terrier, loves keeping an eye on the neighborhood and chasing anything that moves in the backyard. Pippi, a blind Lagotto Romagnolo, doesn't let anything slow her down. She loves learning tricks, retrieving balls, and splashing in the water whenever she gets the chance.

From chipmunk chases to camping adventures, these best friends keep life interesting and remind us that every pet has a story worth sharing!

Are you living as a 6-7 or a 10+?

That was the thought-provoking question posed by guest speaker John Ed Mathison at the March meeting of the Wynlakes Women's Club. His inspiring message challenged attendees to approach each day with purpose, intention, and a willingness to embrace the opportunities God places before them.

Members also enjoyed beautiful St. Patrick's Day-themed tablescapes, fellowship with friends, and a delicious meal as they gathered for another meaningful afternoon together.

Some neighbors leave a lasting impression simply by the way they live their lives. Tom and Stephanie Beatrous have called Wynlakes home since 1999, building a life centered on family, faith, friendship, and community.

Many know them as "Dr. & Mrs. B," while their grandchildren proudly call them "Poppy and Meme." From Tom's years serving Montgomery as a radiation oncologist to Stephanie's beautiful backyard garden oasis, the Beatrous family has created a legacy of care and connection that extends far beyond their own home.

Whether hosting their beloved "Camp Meme and Poppy," spending time with family, or enjoying life in Wynlakes, Tom and Stephanie embody what makes our neighborhood such a special place to call home!

Neighbors in Wynlakes and Wyndridge recently came together in a meaningful way to support the fight against colorectal cancer through the Cancer Wellness Foundation’s Women in Blue campaign. Hosted by resident Faith Byrd, the wine-and-cheese gathering helped raise awareness about the importance of screenings and early detection while also supporting patient outreach and education efforts across Central Alabama. Guests dressed in blue, learned more about colorectal cancer prevention, and rallied around a cause that impacts so many families. Thanks to the generosity of the community, more than $2,000 was raised during the event alone to support ongoing awareness and wellness initiatives.

Resident Emily Montgomery is serving up a simple, flavorful family favorite in this month’s Resident Recipe feature: Beef & Carrot Bowls. Emily, an Upper School Spanish teacher at Alabama Christian Academy and longtime Wynlakes resident, loves finding new recipes to make for her family — and this one has quickly become a household favorite.

The dish combines savory ground beef, fresh carrot salad, and rice into a quick and customizable meal that works for busy weeknights. From lettuce wraps to kimchi toppings, Emily also shares several easy variations in this month's magazine to make the recipe fit almost any taste or lifestyle!

One of Wynlakes Golf & Country Club’s most treasured traditions returned in unforgettable fashion as young members and their guests gathered for the 15th Annual Swan Ball. Designed for Wynlakes children and grandchildren in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades, the evening was filled with music, laughter, and memories that will last for years to come.

From a packed dance floor led by a lively DJ to favorite treats from Alani Bar and Crumbl Cookie, the night was full of excitement from beginning to end. Many families also enjoyed dinner together at the Club before the festivities began, making the evening even more special.

The Swan Ball continues to beautifully capture the spirit of friendship, tradition, and community that make Wynlakes such a special place to call home!
