1789 - The U.S. Congress passed the First Judiciary Act. The act provided for an Attorney General and a lower federal courts.

1938 - Don Budge became the first tennis player to win all four of the major titles when he won the U.S. Tennis Open. He had already won the Australian Open, the French Open and the British Open.

1963 - The U.S. Senate ratified a treaty that limited nuclear testing. The treaty was between the U.S., Britain, and the Soviet Union.

Jim Henson 1936- Beloved puppeteer and creator of The Muppets, Sesame Street, and Fraggle Rock. He created the iconic puppets Kermit the Frog, Oscar the Grouch, and Bert and Ernie.

Kevin Sorbo 67- actor who gained fame for playing the leading role in the 90s series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. He has starred in a number of faith based films in recent years such as God’s Not Dead, and Soul Surfer

Mickey Rooney 1920- Veteran entertainer whose career spanned over 80 years. He initially became known for his work with Judy Garland in A Family Affair. He received two Golden Globe awards and an Honorary Academy Award.
