The series where we highlight small businesses in Alabama.

Today’s stop: ✨Talisi Cafe ✨ in Tallassee, AL

Daily specials, salad bar, desert, and a small bar - this place has everything you need after a day on the lake.

So nice y’all, I’m telling you we HAD to eat it twice.

Gabby and Lawson were traveling the Tallapoosa between Martin Lake and Tallassee and desperately needed shade, AC, and sweet tea… and Talisi Cafe absolutely delivered.

The first time they went Gabby got a crawfish baked potato (di-vine, I’m telling you) and the next day she went simple with a thick-cut fried bologna sandwich. That’ll hit every time!

What drew them in initially was Lawson’s favorite meal - good ole loaded fry.

So y’all spill the beans…

📍Off the Bone BBQ

Our first Sunday Spotlight is a food truck that’s new to me!

They bought their truck back in 2020 (brave souls! 😂), and this year they decided to rebrand and dive into BBQ. I have to thank the Lord they did.

I was having a crazy day yesterday, and this sexy little plate right here? 🥵 It was the highlight of my whole week. I’m glad I was in the car by myself because it had me acting absolutely foolish. 🤤

As soon as I finished eating, I walked right back over to tell them how amazing it was and snapped a picture of their menu. I already know I have to go back for those ribs next. 😩

I wanna thank Gabby for being the coolest person I know. Anyone who has had the privilege of meeting Gabby knows she’s one of a kind.

I’ve know since we were little girls she was gonna be different and change this crazy world we live in!

It’s not often your blessed with a pal who challenges you in the best ways possible.

Someone who is kind and empathetic. Someone who will let you know if your messing up. Someone who loves the world so much she can see the changes that need made.

Oh sorry y’all! She attended ARSN! A 2-day conference for the Alabama River and Streams Network.

This group is a coalition of different partners including universities, state agencies, and conservation groups who all share a common goal: protecting Alabama’s freshwater.

🏃‍♀️🌲Trails: 5 miles of walking trails on the property
🎭 Theater/Auditorium: A 120-seat theater/ auditorium equipped with up to date technology.
👋 Hands-On Discovery Hall: Interactive and visual nature displays.
👩‍🏫 Classroom with Lab: Fully equipped classroom will accommodate up to 60 students.
🌎 Community Room: Space to be used as a second classroom, traveling exhibits, meetings and events.
