💻 Two data center projects proposed in Monticello 💻

Developers have unveiled two large-scale concepts that could reshape Monticello’s edges:

🔹 Monticello Tech LLC — a 550-acre technology campus east of Highway 25, with up to 3 million square feet of development and an estimated $10 million in annual property taxes.

🔹 Scannell Properties LLC — a 106-acre tech park next to Bertram Chain of Lakes, with four buildings totaling 1.3 million square feet.

Both proposals are in early stages and would require annexation, environmental review, and city approval before moving forward.

👀 Monticello is in the middle of one of its biggest debates in years: Should data centers be part of the city’s future?

City leaders say no project is approved yet, but two developers have already shown interest in Monticello.
