The #3 Presque Isle girls stopped #6 Gardiner 2-1 . The Wildcats will advance to play Hermon

In Class C

Top-seeded Fort Kent stopped Central 7-1. They will host #4 Mattanawcook, who defeated #5 Houlton 3-2 on PKs

In Class D Prelims,

Van Buren stopped Southern Aroostook 8-0
Washburn got by MSSM 3-0
Fort Fairfield defeated Easton 4-1
Madawaska over Old Orchard Beach in Overtime 2-1

In 8 Person quarterfinals

#2 Wisdom stopped Penobscot Christian 6-1. Senior Ava Lerman, scored all 6 goals, including her 100th career goal.

#11 Katahdin upset # 3 Sumner. The game was tied 1-1, and after double overtime, it went to PK' s. Sophomore Savanah McGraw hit the game-winner on the final shot of the game to give the Cougars the win!

Moving mountains on behalf of her patients and their families is why Margaret Casey, LSW, licensed social worker, was recently honored with the September Northern Light Home Care & Hospice Heart of the Mission award.

Margaret recently had a bed-bound hospice patient who faced food insecurity and had several barriers to receiving assistance. Knowing that a healthy diet is a critical element to well-being, Margaret found a way for this patient to receive food assistance, allowing the patient access to reliable nutrition.

Margaret knows that for patients, caregivers, and loved ones, being in hospice care is hard enough, and worrying about food should not be an issue.

Thank you, Margaret, for consistently moving mountains for our patients and your unwavering dedication to patient care, exemplifying the Heart of our Mission!

Congratulations to the 2025 Northern Maine Champions! Your Greater Houlton Boys are Class C North Region Champions. Scoring the meet low of 25, the Shires placed all six scoring athletes in the top ten taking 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, & 10th places.

We were disheartened to learn that those on Food Assistance may not be able to access their benefits, Also we will feed any federal government employees & our US Military and we never want anyone to go hungry.
Next Tuesday, starting at 3PM, Timberwolves BBQ
will be providing approx. 80 free Carry Out chicken dinners to anyone in need of a hot meal. No questions asked. Our community, can always look out fand take care of each other.

If Food Assistance continues to remain in Jeopardy, we will look to make this a weekly event until they are restored. To pick up a meal to get your name on the list call 207 425 1056 between 10am & 3pm meals will be ready to pick up at 3 pm
