Blue Ridge High School is excited to announce the promotion of long-time assistant coach David Kramer to the position of Head Football Coach!

Coach Kramer takes the reins of the football program after serving for 7 years with the program in various roles including defensive coordinator, special teams coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

The Mission: Culture Drives Success
Coach Kramer firmly believes that the sport of football is one of the greatest tools available to transform young athletes into the best versions of themselves, both on the field and in the community.

As he steps into this new era, his primary focus is establishing a foundation where culture drives success. Coach Kramer plans to work relentlessly to install and maintain a winning culture centered on accountability, hard work, and character.

Please join us in congratulating Coach David Kramer! The future of Blue Ridge Football starts now. Additionally, please be looking for future messages from Coach Kramer regarding player informational meetings, weight training, and practices over the summer.

Go Knights!

Fifty-eight years ago today, Monticello's PFC Robert C. Burke (a namesake of our post) valiantly fought until the end at Le Nam, Go Noi Island, Quang Nam Province, Vietnam.

His actions, which immediately preceded his death at just 18 years, 6 months, and 10 days old, resulted in him being the youngest recipient of the Medal of Honor from the Vietnam War.

Today and always, we remember PFC Burke's ultimate sacrifice and gallantry, while reaffirming our commitment to sharing his legacy with future generations.
