What's the most fun thing about editing a magazine? First, it's the amazingly creative people I get to work with, but it's also the creative outlet it gives me. I love trying to pair up backgrounds with the chosen theme and often start in hardware stores and building supply places. For the Summer in the City, corner beading used for drywall gave a feeling of construction, blue for the summer sky and a light screen for punch. Photographer Jack Deutsch's magic and Leslie Roth's design did the rest…..

When I was editing Knit 1-2-3 and Crochet 1-2-3 magazines, I was the hands in the "Gram's Hands" article, as I love working with creative kids. I'd show the girls how to make a yarn project - and when the magazine was published, I'd send them a copy as well as the project they worked on with me. To my surprise, I received this wonderful letter from model, Arica, from the Nov issue. See photos below, the first one of Arica and me, the other pages from her letter to me. :-) :-) :-)
