Caught quite a few 12 and 13 inchers this morning but this girl was the highlight no doubt. Not a fan of the extra large hooks on this imitation Dare Devil tho it is the second biggest spoon I own, I will be replacing with a smaller treble hook.

Last night was amazing. Landed my first tiger trout ever and that was my 1 bucket list fish in this state to catch, so I'm on cloud 9. This guy had a super light pattern and it was nearly dark so I can't believe my friends phone caught that much detail to be honest.

Today was fun even know I didn't catch anything of size. The brown in the first photo was the largest of the day probably 15 or so and I kept him to eat. I also caught a rainbow and a ton more small browns in the 12 to 13 inch range. The biggest surprise of the day was the fact they were all hitting giant antique dare devil spoon.

Went up to the park and did some fishing so I could bring one home with me. About 15 1/2 inch rainbow should make for perfect eating for tomorrows lunch.

Just out here catching some browns in this summer heat. This is a stretch of the river that use to suck but now that the flood cam threw the course has changed and it's now a killer area to fish.

Let the fun begin. I really hope I can rebuild this reel it's my favorite reel and one of the few reels I have that can handle a lake trout.

Today was a whirl wind of emotions. Had a massive brown snap me off took my weights and everything. I got so pi**ed off and had to think to myself your in a excellent spot tie on your favorite blue fox lure that you know always produces. So I tied on my #3 Silver blue fox and got a dandy of a rainbow for this stretch of the river. As you all know I rarely catch rainbows so even know this fish is underweight for it's size it's still a beast for the Uncompahgre river. I also got in about a 8 mile bike ride on this fishing trip which is helping me get in good shape for hunting season. PS the moral of the story for today is even when it seems like things couldn't get worse if you stay persistent and grind it out it pays off.

I have used this Green lure countless times and never caught a fish on it, finally today I ran down to the river real quick to check the trail cams and see if the river had started to clear up took a couple casts and this little brown hit on the second cast.
