I think I got reverse catfished last night?

I matched with this girl on Tinder. She was significantly bigger than girls I normally date. But we have literally everything thing in common so I figured I’d give it a shot. So after talking for a few days we decided to meet up at this nerd bar last night.

I get there and pick a table. After waiting a few minutes this beautiful woman comes over and starts trying to flirt with me. That’s very strange so I assume she must be after something. Free drinks, drugs, my kidneys, I don’t know.

So I explain to her that I’m actually waiting for someone and I don’t want to give a bad first impression by chatting up some other woman when she walks in.

That’s when she springs it on me that she’s actually the one I’m waiting for. She told me how she’s lost about 130lbs over the past couple years and she wants to make sure guys are actually interested in her and not just her body.

And she was also testing me to see if I would ditch the fat girl if someone hotter showed up. So here’s the thing, I don’t know how I feel about being “tested”. I don’t want to live my life questioning every decision I make like she might jump out from around the corner at any minute.

But she’s also really attractive and very cool otherwise. I’m not sure how I should proceed.

Edit: I didn’t expect this to be downvoted so much. I guess people just prefer the standard “I just walked...

AITAH for telling my dad to never contact me again after he chose his wife’s mom over me?

Hi everyone, I (17F) am only really posting this since my dad's family and even my mom are telling me that I'm in the wrong. My parents got divorced when I was 12 and they had 50/50 custody so I would stay with my dad for a week then my mom. When I was 14 my dad got married to my stepmom (I refer to her as his wife) and I would only see them on the weekends until they moved and I only saw them whenever they visited (my mom got full custody) Anyways last month they moved back to our city and got a 2 bedroom house, my dad had promised me

the room before he moved back and told me he could do 50/50 again if me and my mom were okay with it and we were. I was so excited and even picked out furniture and bought stuff to decorate it. Anyways they move into the house and invite me, they give me a tour and show me my 'room', I asked when I could start putting things in it and that's when they told me that they were actually going to give the room to his wife's mom, and since I was going away to college soon, it wasn't like I was

going to use the room much. They also told me that instead of staying the full week that I can go on the weekends and sleep on their couch if I wanted to. I said no to that and texted my mom to pick me up.

It's been...

AITA for telling a wedding guest that he can either eat what's served or go without?

I (mid 20sF) am getting married. We have sent out our invites and they are slowly starting to come back to us. We have family across the globe and with our postal service strikes, we decided to send them out early.

We invited one of our friends (mid 20s F) and her partner (late 20s M). Her partner has been difficult. When we sent out the invites, he called me asking if the options on the invite, were the only ones available. The options are grilled salmon with a lemon and caper sauce, grilled chicken or mushroom stroganoff. The salmon and chicken come with baby potatoes and seasonal vegetables. I told him these were the only options, and we wouldn't be adding more but they can be amended if he has a dietary preference - one of our guests is a dairy free vegetarian and the stroganoff is being made vegan for them. He said he didn't like fish or mushrooms and thinks chicken is a bit plain for a wedding before settling on the chicken. A couple days later, he calls to change his mind and decides he will have the salmon. He then proceeded to jump between all 3 options a couple times, each time finding a reason to why he didn't want it (Salmon tastes too fishy, the chicken will be dry, stroganoff is too heavy for a wedding meal, etc).

This morning, I got a call from my caterer (who is his partner's brother), and he's contacted her asking if she can make him his own specific meal. He's asking for an...

AITAH for cutting off all communication with my in-laws after my 6 year old died?

I, 35F, am married to B, 40M, for 12 years. We have two children together. My daughter, 4 at the time, was discovered to have a tumor in her abdomen after experiencing 14 months of intermittent leg pain.

The doctors couldn't find the source of the pain until they found the tumor. We were scared for our daughter. I was so afraid, I shut everyone out except my mom and husband.

My mom drove 8 hours to support us while they went through the diagnostic process. My husband asked his parents to come to support him. They said no because they had to watch SILs kids.

For context, my in-laws live five hours away and SIL live 25 minutes from me. At this time, doctors believed the tumor was benign so they scheduled the resection surgery for two months later. All summer the in-laws couldn't see the our kids because they were always watching SIL's kids since their dad wasn't pulling his weight.

Finally, the surgery date came. My mom came again to support us through this huge surgery. The tumor was so large that it took up all of the free space on the right side of her abdomen.

The doctor came out of surgery and he told us that he could only remove 60% of the tumor. He believed it looked cancerous but we had to wait for the pathology report. A few days later, It came back positive for cancer and my daughter had to go through a very intensive treatment plan.

She needed five rounds of chemo, two...

AITA for ordering after the staff told me they are still serving?

My girlfriend and I were baffled by this situation, so we wanted to ask Reddit. We were out for a walk, and on our way back home, we passed by a famous confectionery that was still open. People were getting ice creams and cakes, and some were even sitting outside. Normally, the place closes at 21:30, and it was around 21:40, so we weren't sure if they would still sell us anything. We wanted to ask the staff if it's okay to buy something; we didn't even want to sit. IN a polite manner, we asked, 'Good evening, are you still open? Can we order, especially for take away? 'The staff responded, 'Just tell me what do you want? 'We ordered a small cake and an ice cream. As we were about to pay, we double-checked with them if this was okay, as they were looking at us weirdly. The cashier didn't respond and showed the POS to pay. We took our order and sat down. While we were about to eat, I heard one of the staff members, who was leaving their shift (not wearing their uniform), looking at us and muttering about why people keep coming and why they're still sitting to other coworkers. As politely as I could, I told him, 'We did ask; why didn't you say you are closing? We wouldn't have ordered in that case.' He then called us entitled as****es and left. That comment was quite funny since my girlfriend had worked as a server before. So, any thoughts on this? EDIT 1: I for some reason forgot to write this...
