Privileged

Lately all we seem to see on social media are the privileged royalty, not to mention many other streaming videos. We can't leave out the wealthy or the famous individuals.I read the other day how poorly Meghan Markle treated all of her former staff. Basically they were treated so poorly they quit. They referred to their employment as "traumatic." Let's not leave out Meghan and Prince Harry's trip to Australia. They were only there four days and somehow racked up ten million dollars for fees for personal appearances, etc. The Australian newpaper called them "grifters." Media has questioned their true motives. They are speculating it was a for financial gain. The Prince and Meghan feel this trip has made a good change for their future. Then, of course, you have the royalty in England. The Queen informed Kate Middleton that she could not wear blue to any public events. A reporter recently posted about the royal fashion and quickly included the fued between the Queen and Kate. Seriously, there are many more important things happening in the world than dressing for public appearances. There was one story in the Good Gus series about a royal entitled "The Surprise in the Sky." It's a good story . Check the books published so far in e-book. In "Misplaced Trust" the controller of the Trust, the Successor Trustee and the Beneficiaries definetly believed they were privileged. Give an e-book a try. I think you will like it. Novelties

There are many novelties that now no longer exist. For example, When I was young I went every Saturdy to my cousin's. We then went roller skating at a rink. It was great fun. Many bowling alleys have disappeared until recently. They are putting candlepin in various locations including Las Vegas. If you don't know what candlepin is they are simply small pins. When I bowled with my chidren and sometimes their friends, they all loved me because I never knocked all the pins down. Now because everyone has a phone, there are no more music stores. Many people would socialize with other individuals who liked the same type of music. I still have original albums and a record player. There are peope who love the sounds from a record player. When I worked in San Diego, there were coffee houses. They were always crowded. What is a novelty today are soda shops. One time when I was a teenager, my girlfriends and I did "The Mashed Potato" which was a dance in 1962 by Dee Dee Sharp across a street with two lights! It was a popular song. Of course, video stores are all closed. I still have a DVD player and DVD's. The only available that was invented before the Good Gus era was bowling. It was invented in Egypt in 3200BC. Good Gus brings joy to the young reader. Give an e-book a try. There is nothing novel in "Misplaced Trust." It contains greed and white collar true crime. Give an e-book a try. Impoverished

Most people have no idea what it is like to be impovished. They may be broke but not poor. There is a huge difference as poor people believe their lives will never change as do impoverished. Broke individuals are certain their lives will turn around. What is difficult to understand is that one in six Americans are millionaires. It is difficult to understand as the price of everything is so high. Ireland has been in protest over one week due to the cost of petrol/gas. Granted it is by the litre but it is still one hundred ninety-eight Euros and ninety-eight Euro cents. I can't believe it. That is two hundred thirty-four dollars and seventy-nine cents. That is outrageous. In California it is steadily creeping up to over seven dollars. What is worse is that in America people are losing their jobs and while the government states everything is grand, no one can find decent paying jobs. so people are cutting back on food, electricity, and other essentials. There are times in all of our lives that we had to just start over. It was never ideal. Selling off personal possessions to start fresh sometimes is the best way. It beats being foreclosed or evicted and having your vehicles towed away. I remember an old episode of "Matlock" which describes this to perfection. If anyone is looking for a good Money Manager, I have one that will teach you how to manager your income on a weekly basis. Simply email me. [email protected]. I didn't include high prices in the Good Gus series. The e-book teaches the young reader about good morals, being kind, and treat everyone with respect. "Misplaced Trust" does end up with impoverished individuals because as soon as they received their money they blow on drugs, betting and gambling. It is an interesting e-book about true crime and greed. Visit the site and download an e-book. The books are available in e-book from the sites www.goodgusbooks.com and www.misplacedtrustbook.com. "Misplaced Trust" has a five-star rating on Amazon. It is about true crime and greed.

Losing Weight

Losing weight was a topic on social media today. Diets and the foods and pills attached to the diet industry. Both make a great deal of money. The old Weight Watchers was one of the original along with Jenny Craig. As technology progresses so did diets. Now you don't have to count calories or prepare special meals for yourself or members of your family. Some of the pakages just have you heat up the meals while others have it all set to actually cook. Either way the amount of time it takes is much shorter than getting the foods set up and cooking yourself. I had a relative whose mum was on Weight Watchers for years. It didn't work out for her as she would think nothing of eating a head of lettuce to try and fill her stomach before dinner. Sadly it didn't work. She was the sweetest woman who just was just always on a diet. In today's world the needles are the new way to go. Also special jello foods plus other types of foods that help people in their efforts of losing weight. Many people have lost the weight they had always dreamed of dropping. I even know a few people who won't admit taking the needles yet for the first time in years they are slim. It is not easy for diets for people as there is so much fast food available. If you try to ignore them, there are commercials, billboards, and coupons on the intenet offering you discount meals. The old fashioned diets and exercise just aren't a reality any more, don't you agree? Now that the weather is finally sunny almost literally everywhere, if it is warm enough, sitting outside and reading a Good Gus book would be a nice way to pass some time outside for your child or children. You could also relax with an interesting e-book about true crime and greed, read "Misplaced Trust." Visit the site and download an e-book. The books are available in e-book from the sites www.goodgusbooks.com and www.misplacedtrustbook.com. "Misplaced Trust" has a five-star rating on Amazon. It is about true crime and greed.

Retiring

Almost everyday on social media there are articles about retiring and how much money you will need. The amount is more than most people have earned in a life time. Many older people are still working because they simply have no choice. Today the Seniorly listed the worst state for retirement namely New Jersey. Last year they did studies on all fifty states. New Jersey topped the list. It had healthcare acessability at the top of the list. Due to the lack of healthcare it also has the highest number of older sick people. In addition, they have a high tax rate, and a complete lack of recreation for seniors. There were other states that were on the list such as Alabama, Georgia, Kansas and Oklahoma. In addtion these four states had the highest crime rates. That makes it quite difficult. I don't know how California wasn't on the list as they have high taxes, a high crime rate, and there was an article specifically about Los Angeles, of people leaving. The crime rate is increasing everywhere. I worte about teens the other day and since then there were two more huge incidents again. I even read in Dublin, Ireland that a group of teens broke into a home and now their neighbors started a Go Fund Me. When is it going to stop and life return to normal? In the Good Gus series none of this behavior or difficulties existed. Try an e-book. The child in your life may love it. "Misplaced Trust" did have many people retiring. What their families didn't realize was they were holding onto their money. However their families thought that greed and true crime was much better. It is a good e-book read. Accusitions

Whenever you are dealing with family, friends, neighbors or even in court, you frequently hear accusations without proof. If a neighbor claims your dog left a present on their lawn, and you know that is not true, they will persist even though they have no proof. Today a neighbor and his wife came knocking on my door accusing first my granddaughter and then my daughter of stealing his sunglasses. First of all, my grandaughter walked her dog with two phones and not near his resident. Second my daughter was miles away visiting someone in a hospital, He didn't believe us. In many courtrooms, one side will always make accusations against the other side. The smart attorney will only address the facts so that the judge will rule in their client's favor. Today, society does tend to be accusatory about almost everything. The media often destroys an individual's reputation by printing articles that are basically false. The person they have posted about ends up spending time and money in the hopes of getting the facts out. Usually, if it is not a celebrity, whatever was said ends up remaining against a person almost indefinitely. People should think before they speak. It could prevent hurt feelings and problems. I did not include accusations in the Good Gus series. The point was positive good behavior. Try an e-book and you will see. Now in "Misplaced Trust" accusations were rampart. Give an e-book a try. You will like it. Visit the site and download an e-book. The books are available in e-book from the sites www.goodgusbooks.com and www.misplacedtrustbook.com. "Misplaced Trust" has a five-star rating on Amazon. It is about true crime and greed.

Succede

We all work hard but often we do not succeed. Many people cheat their way into promotions. However, the average person gives their best effort and fail. I was a private secretary when I was much younger to a vice president of a company that is now huge. I might have been promoted except I turned down a date with my boss while his wife was out of town. I was fired within one week. At that time there were no computers but I could type eighty-five words per minute on an electric typewriter. One of the reasons people don't succeed is that they don't set goals and procrastinate. It is important to believe you will be accepted for the best position. My first secretarial job was supposed to be in a mailroom. However I showed up for the interview in a suit and heels. The other girl just wore a blouse and a skirt. She believed she would get the better job because her mother worked for the company in a different office. The vice president took one look at me and chose me. When he left to move to another company one of his conditions was that I go along. It was a small raise but nearby. What do you think? Most of the residents in the Good Gus series owned their own business. Doing schoolwork and chores at home gave the children a good perspective. An e-book might just be the answer for a child that doesn't like chores. In "Misplaced Trust" the Successor Trustee, who is the person in charge of a Trust when a person passes, frequently believes their success includes true crime and greed. An e-book is a quick download and an interesting read. Visit the site and download an e-book. The books are available in e-book from the sites www.goodgusbooks.com and www.misplacedtrustbook.com. The Gift of Reading

Most people do not realize that the gift of reading is a marvelous present to have in life. Reading is necessary in our everyday lives but besides that it is wonderful to have the ability to read. When we first learned to read we felt so proud. Over time as we progressed it truly became the gift of reading. We could even read a bedtime story once in a while rather than our parent. What I love about reading is that it opens new doors. You can travel and see the world right from your home. You can deepen your imagination and think about new and exciting ideas and places. It broadens your horizons. How many businesses have been started just by reading and learning new skills? How many cures for diseases have evolved from the gift of reading? The curious scientists have to do a great deal of research just to even begin. It is really facinating as often the researchers will find an answer that others may have worked on without results. Reading is important to us in our everyday lives. If a person is prescribed a medicine or treatment, the best thing they can do is to research the pros and cons. It helps us to make the correct decision. I have many old books that give me the chance to see what life was like decades ago. My late husband and I used to go to a shop in an apple orchard in Massachusetts. We would buy used books and of course, my children would select candy. It was a good strategy to sell items. I still have those books today. Over the years as history has been rewritten it is nice to discover what has changed. How do you feel about the gift of reading? Visit the site and download an e-book. The books are available in e-book from the sites www.goodgusbooks.com and www.misplacedtrustbook.com. "Misplaced Trust" has a five-star rating on Amazon. It is about true crime and greed.

Homework

As a grandmother who graduated high school as well as business school I was never in favor of homework. Back when I went to business school there was no homework which worked out well as I had a full time day job. However, now children are receiving homework in the first grade. School is longer than when I attended and if they take the bus their day is extremely long. In elementary I did not have homework in the lower grades.I think when child are really young they should not have homework and then as the reach the higher grades it shoud be at a minimum. My granddaughter told me that she hated homework. That she couldn't understand why they needed to do it since they already learned it. I told her that was a valid point. However, much of this comes easy to her as she is very smart. She should be in the AP classes but she doesn't want all the extra homework. I think any child that is struggling should have tutoring. What do you think? I never discussed homework in the Good Gus series. I thought it migh crush the young reader. An e-book is just the answer for a child's long day. Of course, the attorney often gave what might be called homework to the Successor Trustee in "Misplaced Trust" if they used one. However, the attorney could see right through their true crime and greed. A good read is only an e-book download away. Visit the site and download an e-book. Colorblind

Often I receive good news stories and this one was just too good to pass up. It is about a man who was colorblind. He was sixty-one when his whole life changed. His son receive a Christmas bonus and decided to spend it on his dad. He bought him those special glasses for anyone who is colorblind. It was a Christmas gift and the dad was elated. For the first time he could truly distinguish colors. He was thrilled. He never could see anything and now he could see everything. He was truly facinated with the bright colors. For all of his life he didn't know and now suddenly everything was bright. I have never known anyone who was colorblind but I can imagine it is quite difficult. For example if you take a child shopping for clothes, how can they choose what they might like to wear? You can explain it but it doesn't really mean anything. Apparently it is more prevalent in males than females. It is a genetic trait that stems from chromosomes. It is part of the 'X' chromosome. Women can also be colorblind but their chance is one in two hundred. It's almost like cholorestol. Often you can inherit high cholorosterol even with a good diet. Do you know anyone with colorblindness? The children in the Good Gus series only had a child in a wheelchair, Katie, whom everyone treated kindly. A good read in an e-book may just the thing to brighten a child's day. No one in "Misplaced Trust" was colorblind. They were just greedy and commited true crimes. An e-book may just be the thing to change your day. Visit the site and download an e-book. The books are available in e-book from the sites www.goodgusbooks.com and www.misplacedtrustbook.com. "Misplaced Trust" has a five-star rating on Amazon. It is about true crime and greed.

Drug Tests

My neighbor who is an honorably dischared, Air Force female, who served at the White House, was overseas as a Medic, was accused by a doctor of taking illegal drugs. She wasn't but when the doctors mix medications there can be a issue. I saw today an article describing this very issue. For examle, bird p**p scraped off a man's car tested positive for co***ne. A baby’s ashes registered as methamphetamine or ecstasy. A greatgrandmother tested positive for co***ne. It took her one and one half years, including refinancing her home, to become clear and free of the accusations. Colorimetric drug tests which are cheap and fast are used by law enforcement. However they are not very accurate. They often have false positives. Part of the reason they are used is that they cost between two to ten dollars or 2.3 to 8.66 Euros. The tests that are truly acurate cost between twenty-four thousand to eighty thousand dollars or twenty thousand six hundred forty to sixty-eight thousand eight hundred Euros. It is clear why they use the cheap test. The bird p**p car owner had it retested as did the greatgrandmother and both showed exactly that it was not co***ne. There are too many people testing positive when in reality they are negative. What do you think? It is clear that the Good Gus series did not have this problem. The books are filled with fun and an e-book would be ideal for the child in your life. The trouble with "Misplaced Trust" is that there were many family members taking drugs. Give an e-book a read you may enjoy it. Visit the site and download an e-book. The books are available in e-book from the sites www.goodgusbooks.com and www.misplacedtrustbook.com. "Misplaced Trust" has a five-star rating on Amazon. It is about true crime and greed.
