As this year comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on just how much growth, change, and gratitude it has held.
This year began with a big step forward as I introduced my new business name, Lens & Quills Studio. It also pushed me far outside my comfort zone as I jumped in with both feet and created my first coloring books and adapted children’s books, all of which are now available on Amazon. That alone has been an incredible journey.
Along the way, I have met some truly amazing people and captured memories that will last a lifetime. From a wedding filled with genuine love to so many beautiful family sessions, this year has been unforgettable. I have especially loved offering extended family sessions and cannot wait to do even more of those in the coming year.
Behind the scenes, there are big plans in motion. I am currently tearing down and rebuilding a popup camper to become a mobile bookstore and photography studio, as well as transforming an RV into a home studio and office. I am so excited to see these dreams take shape.
This year also came with its share of challenges. Health has been a roller coaster, and if you know me, you know that journey well. On top of running my business, I also work full time as a teaching assistant in an EC school and as a bus monitor. I truly adore all of my sweet kids. I am also deeply involved in my church as media support and a Sunday School teacher, and this year I was honored to help start our first adapted Sunday School class for children who need a little extra support. That has been such a joyful and rewarding experience.
To everyone who cheered me on, supported me, and believed in me, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am so excited for what this new year will bring and for all the amazing people I will meet along the way. Here’s to a new year filled with creativity, growth, and making beautiful memories together.
