Join us on Saturday, October 14 at Big Morongo Canyon Preserve to view a partial solar eclipse at 8 am. In prehistoric times a solar eclipse was terrifying to those who viewed it. But now, a solar eclipse is viewed and enjoyed by millions. On October 14, the moon will obscure the sun in Southern California and this class will give you the opportunity to view the event safely through telescopes and binoculars. Follow the moon as it moves across the sun to block most of the sun. Before observation you will receive a short introduction to eclipses and safety instructions. Solar eclipse glasses will be provided.
