Microsoft Ends Nonprofit-Focused Ads for Social Impact Grants

Microsoft is discontinuing its “Ads for Social Impact” grant program. Under the program, Microsoft awarded grants – credits for free digital advertising – to cover the first $1,000 of a monthly advertising schedule. The grants were given to selected nonprofits primarily in the 501(c)(3) space. The money could be applied toward advertising on properties throughout the Microsoft Search Network or the Microsoft Audience Network.

Public Interest Registry Highlights Advocacy With Impact Awards

Public Interest Registry (PIR) announced the winners of the 2025 .ORG Impact Awards, an annual celebration recognizing and rewarding outstanding mission-driven individuals and organizations from around the world for their positive contributions to society. The seven winners — selected from nearly 3,000 applicants from more than 120 countries — were announced live at the awards ceremony, which took place in Washington, D.C.

People across the globe acknowledge the connected nature of their lives with the fortunes of other countries. More than half (54%) of those polled in a global survey said events in other countries have an effect on them personally, and 66% said shifts in the global economy or trade affect them and their families, according to Demanding Results: Global Views on International Cooperation, a new report from The Rockefeller Foundation.

Nonprofits within the City of Angels faced a devil of a time during their fiscal years 2024. Just less than half (48%) of Los Angeles-based nonprofits generated either a “significant” or “slight” operating surplus during their fiscal year 2024, compared with 45% of nonprofits nationwide, once Los Angeles organizations were excluded.

Radtke Picked As Interim CEO At Momentive Software

Dustin Radtke was appointed interim chief executive officer at Momentive Software, succeeding Michael Henricks. Radtke will continue to serve as the company’s chief product and development officer.
“His proven leadership, deep knowledge of our products, and strong relationships with our clients make him the clear choice to guide the company during this transition. A permanent CEO has been identified and will join the company in 2026 following the completion of prior commitments,” Mike Mayoras, executive chairman of the Momentive board said via a statement.
