Well… the craziness has officially not slowed down around here, so we’re going to break it all down over the next few days and catch everyone up on what’s been going on! 😂

First up: THE COWS. 🐄

The bull came, he did his job, and now he’s officially gone! 😂 So now we wait…

We’re expecting calves to start hitting the ground at the end of April, and from April into May, we’re expecting around 27 calves to make their grand entrance! 🥰🐮

We are SO excited to see what next year’s calf crop brings. There’s nothing quite like watching those babies start hitting the ground after all the planning, waiting, and wondering.

So stay tuned because this is just subject #1 of the craziness that’s been happening here at Fantasy Hill & Holla. There’s plenty more to catch you up on! 😂

Counting up our bales.

Between our tractor down this summer and crazy weather for hay to be laid down I’m happy with these numbers.

We need 600 round bales to feed our cows this winter and to have cushion for early spring 2027.

We feed a mixture of balage and dry hay to our momma beef cows.

Our finishing group will be fed a different mixture!

Thank you both for taking the time to work with Laura, teach her, and help her become a better showman. These are the experiences she’ll remember and carry with her as she continues to grow. We are so grateful for people who are willing to share their knowledge and encourage the next generation! 🐐❤️

Laura came home with a whole lot of new skills, confidence, and probably a few more ideas for her show string! 😉
