Back at it again! ��

The paint brushes are out, the ladders are up, and the whole crew (including the shop dog �) is hard at work getting our new home ready! Every day brings a little more progress, and we’re getting more excited by the minute to welcome everyone to our new location at 502 E. Lincolnway in Morrison.

This move means so much to our family. After 25+ years serving this community, it’s incredible to see friends and family pitching in to help bring this next chapter to life. �

A huge thank you to everyone cheering us on, stopping by, and following along during the process. We can’t wait to show you the finished space!

Update on Jeg Weets.

Update on Jeg:

He was booked up to an EEG for the last 36 hours. The first few hours were rough because he pulled the electrodes off his head in his sleep and then had an episode 10 mins later. But we were able to capture 2 of them. Jeg is having seizures. We are not sure where they are starting in his brain but they are in the same spot both times and follows the same pattern.

We are starting him in Depakote. Dr.Kravis and an Australian NPC doctor believe this is the right place to start because there are also behavior benefits and it can get up to the full benefit in 2 weeks. He already has an emergency medicine from the first seizure 3 years ago.

Jenna is actually terrified about all of this as she was with him during that very long seizure a few years ago. Seizures in NPC can be hard to treat as well and we have seen families struggle with them. And these can cross over and become larger. But as long as we treat them the likelihood of him having those big scary seizures will be less likely to happen.

Jeg does have an infection and a possible hematoma in his upper thigh and will be on antibiotics for 5 days.

We are still processing this information and honestly having some hard moments. More things just keep happening to Jeg and we just can’t get him any type of relief or peace it seems. We are glad we have an answer to what these episodes were and can start moving forward.
