We’re just over ONE WEEK away from The Performer’s School’s opening of the cinematic digital production of Les Misérables School Edition! Finishing touches on all edits are happening right now, as we feverishly prep to unveil perhaps the most elaborate and creative digital production to date! Forty students. Each filmed separately. Edited together with beautiful animated illustrations, with up to 35 students on screen at the same time as though they’re in the same space. Because filming Les Misérables one-at-a-time to create a cinematic performance just isn’t enough… we’re also doing it with Disney’s Beauty & the Beast Jr. with our friends at The Performer's School! This talented young performer (Samantha) was the very first to begin the process - and what a GREAT start! Here we go!

We can’t believe it… but after almost 3 months of filming, today we said goodbye to the EXTREMELY talented Matthew Angelaccio, who is playing Jean Valjean in The Performer's School fully digital version of Les Misérables. While we still have more filming to do to get it all “in the can,” it was a bittersweet day to say “goodbye for now” to this talented young man. From all of us here at Marston McCoy Media, we wish you a bright future, Matthew! See you on screen soon come May…

What goes on behind the scenes in creating a fully cinematic digital production of Les Misérables for The Performer's School? A whole lot! Each performer is filmed one at a time on a green screen with two cameras (one wide, one close-up). Every performer has a detailed and exquisite costume. Every audio track is recorded ahead of time (again, one at a time). Each digital background is created for the production and often animated. Then… the editors take all the pieces, put them together, and create something pretty magical. Here’s a fun moment captured in a recording session matched up with the polished product.
