Quilting had been on Rita’s Bucket List. But now, with the help of some church friends, she can cross that off of her list! The 2 quilts that she made were for family members and I’m sure they will love them.

After completing the reorganization early, I had some time to complete my block for 3rd Saturday BOM. I have been learning how to use my AccuQuilt Block System for converting patterns, so that I can cut them with the dies. I have Poland Syndrome (missing main pectoral muscle) and not able to use a rotary cutter and ruler without someone helping.

The block was challenging for me with 73 pieces, some as small as 1” square! I decided to try Acorn Precision Piecing glue and their Press Pen. The combination of these were wonderful…I LOVE IT! Take a look at the last picture and see the back of the block and how well it pressed.

If you own any AccuQuilt dies and would like to learn how to use them to their full capability, I highly recommend Eileen Thompson On-Line classes. You can find her classes at Accuquilt Learning and Support on FB.

This week at Aunt B's, we are organizing our Longarm area. Things were a little crazy for awhile, but the room is now organized. This should help the longarm process to run more smoothly. The sewing area still needs some care, but should be ready in a day or two.....
and yes, that's my lovely photo/moving assistant.....Walt with NO social media.....husband of 43 years now.....always willing to help 🥰

Linda (AKA The Pink Lady) did a wonderful job on piecing this beautiful quilt for her Granddaughter Emmie's Graduation! Bouquet e2e design by OESD Longarm Quilting was perfect for it. I'm sure Emmie will treasure this gift for a long time!

Diane’s 1st quilt was pieced for her great nephew. Her color choices were great and we thought “Mr. Marbles” pantograph would add a little whimsy to this baby quilt. Her 2nd quilt was a Deer Panel (AKA Fred!). I thought her choice of piano keys added a special touch to the panel. It is quilted in “Wood Grain” by Jessica Schick available at Urban Elementz.

A couple of Saturdays ago, we celebrated our grandson's 4th birthday. He loves to read and is also a big fan of construction vehicles (he's taught me way more than I ever needed to know 🤓). The theme that he picked for his party was the Recycling Truck...AKA...Garbage truck! So, Nani (that's me!) made him a reading pillow and, of course, it's truck related !😂 I love being a "Nani"❣️

The fabric was pre-quilted by "Aunt B" and "Queen B" did the embroidery and construction.

WOW! It's been a very long time since I've posted anything. You may have thought that I closed and I sorta had to do that last year. 2024 was a challenging year for me. I foud myself handling my brother's estate after his passing in April. There were multiple trips to Michigan to get our family home ready to sell, many calls to banks and insurance companies...so much time was taken up. To those of you that were caught in my queue, thank you for being patient with me. I am happy to say that things are now completed with the estate and I can once again return to my "happy place" and accept quilts!

In my few next posts, I will share pictures of the beautiful quilts that "Aunt B" and I were privileged to quilt in 2024!

First picture is of my brother, Ron Cole 1942-2024
Second picture was taken at Muirhead's department store Christmas 1954 (yes the baby is me!)

Do you have any UFO quilt tops that you would like to turn into a finished quilt? Please contact me...I'm here to help you do just that! 🧵

I had the pleasure of completing a UFO for Daisey. This large quilt was originally a kit that she purchased from here in Morton. 🎃
Now Daisy has one less UFO on her to do list! Great job Daisy!

Last Friday, my daughter and I completed her Star Wars pillowcases (Yes, this is my Star Wars Nut daughter!). A few weeks ago, she came with me to purchase fabric to add to a customer’s backing. She disappeared for a short while, but soon returned with 3 bolts of Star Wars fabric asking my help to make pillowcases.

Of course, I agreed and we set-up time to sew between longarming customers quilts. As I think you can tell, she worked hard and did her best. I think she should be very proud of the great job that she did…I know I am!
