Focus on the Family President Jim Daly issued the following statement today about the murder of Charlie Kirk:
Like millions of Americans, we are shocked and saddened by the murder of Charlie Kirk. It is a dark day when we lose such a young man who was a bright light modeling the importance of standing unwaveringly for truth, and doing so respectfully even with those who vehemently disagreed with him.
We join with the many who are praying for Charlie’s widow Erika and their two children as they cope with the aftermath of losing their husband and father in such an unspeakably violent manner.
The investigation into this terrible tragedy is only just beginning. There will be much to reflect on when the shooter is brought to justice and the motive comes into focus.
