THANK YOU.
Over the past week or so, our community has shown an incredible amount of support for The Raise The Bar Foundation. Between conversations online, shares, messages, interviews, and offers to help, it’s clear the Basin is ready to step up for families who need it.
This process has been eye opening and we want to say thank you to each and every one of you!
That being said, there’s more work to do and in an effort to continue the support for RTB, we were inspired to launch something we’re proud to announce:
THE BASIN ALMANAC
The Columbia Basin is changing fast, and we believe it deserves a local publication that can’t be bought to document it.
So we’re introducing The Basin Almanac. A thoughtful, curated, and independent media project built here at home. Our mission is simple: tell real stories about real people and real projects, without noise, drama, or bias.
And every subscription supports the community directly through The Raise The Bar Foundation.
Our $13/month model is fully transparent:
• $1 to site processing fees
• $2 to RTB, funding $15 food boxes that feed 4–6 people dinner for a full week
• $5 to keep the lights on
• $5 to pay our team and taxes
Subscribing is one of the simplest ways to stay informed and directly support families across the Basin.
We Also Want to Hear From You
We’re now taking community nominations for:
The Basin 45
Innovators, founders, and changemakers under 45 who are building the region’s future.
The Basin Goodwill Ambassadors List
50 community members of any age who make the Basin better — firefighters, teachers, coaches, civic leaders, volunteers, or anyone whose quiet work deserves recognition.
If someone comes to mind, we want to know.
Have a Story Lead? Something happening in your town that needs coverage? A person or project worth spotlighting?
Send it our way:
[email protected]
The Basin is writing its next chapter, and we want to document it clearly, honestly, and with a curated curiosity that reflects what makes this region great.
We’re moving forward one subscriber at a time — and we hope you’ll join us.
