11:00 a.m. 5/29: Grant PUD crews continue restoring power to areas affected by last night’s storm. Visit Grant PUD’s page for current information. Grant PUD urges the public to stay clear of down power lines and away from areas where PUD crews are working.

11:45 p.m.: The Grant County Emergency Operations Center in Ephrata is activated to support local resources responding to several weather-related incidents across Grant County.

Hazards: Watch out for downed power lines. If you see power lines down, call Grant PUD at 800-216-5226. The PUD is responding to outages across the county. Look at Grant PUD's page for outage information. If you are unable to get through on the phone, please remember that PUD dispatch staff are managing outages and may not be able to readily answer all calls. You can report your outage in the comments section on the Grant PUD page.
Responders continue to handle calls across most of Grant County. Call volume has decreased since the storm passed. We have no reports of storm-related injuries.
The Grant County Board of County Commissioners has signed a Proclamation of Local Emergency. This type of proclamation allows the county to quickly enable resources to make urgent repairs to county-owned facilities or damaged county-owned infrastructure without competitive bid. The proclamation is canceled once the emergency operations have passed.
