Classic 80's Rewind

It’s never easy for me to ask for help, but life has taken an unexpected turn. A couple weeks ago, I suffered a heart attack, and I am now facing triple bypass surgery. The recovery is going to be long, with doctors advising that I may be unable to return to work for the next 3 to 6 months.

During this time, my family and I are doing our best to manage, but the strain of medical expenses and everyday costs is becoming overwhelming. We’re struggling to cover the basics, keeping the lights on, putting food on the table, making sure our kids have what they need for school, and affording the co-pays for the medications I'll need.

With that in mind, I’ve set up a GoFundMe to help bridge the gap and get us through this challenging period. Any support, no matter how small, would mean the world to us.

It is with great sadness that I have to announce that Classic 80s Rewind will stop broadcasting by the end of the month. After several years of programming the station, I will be closing the station down. Because of changes in licensing, the costs of running the station have gotten too high for me to continue. It has been a great run, but as they say, all good things.......

Songwriter and producer of many great hits from the 70s through the 90s, Jim Steinman, passed away this week at age 73. His most memorable hits from the 80s include the Bonnie Tyler hit "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and the Air Supply hit "Making Love Out of Nothing at All".
Many people remember the 1993 rendition of this song that was recorded by Meatloaf. Every song appearing on Bat Out of Hell II: Back Into Hell were written in the early 80s, but Meatloaf was suffering from severe depression and unable to record the album until over a decade later. Instead of letting the songs just sit, Jim Steinman decided to release many of the songs himself.
