Article 1, Section 8, Clause 6 -

Only Congress has the authority to print money, and boy do they know how to print money.

Article 1, Section 8, Clause 5 -

The coining of money and the regulation of its value are the sole Constitutional responsibility of Congress, not the bureaucrats at the Federal Reserve.

Congress also has the authority to fix the standard of weights and measures in the United States, which is still the English system, no matter how much the globalists would love to get us to switch to the metric system.

Article 1, Section 8, Clause 4 -

Please note that it DOES NOT say that the President shall have power to establish a uniform rule of naturalization, as well as enforce whatever immigration laws he sees fit, or he may establish his own immigration laws by executive order.

As far as bankruptcy goes, do the uniform laws passed by Congress also apply when Congress spends the United States government into bankruptcy?

Article 1, Section 8, Clause 3 -

Congress has the power to regulate commerce with foreign nations, among the States of the United States and with the Indian tribes.

Note to big government Marxists: when the framers said "regulate commerce," they meant to promote a climate favorable for business and trade, not to try and control every aspect of the economy that might possibly cross state lines.

Article 1, Section 8, Clause 2 -

Congress has the power to borrow money on behalf of the government of the United States. $30 trillion later, maybe this wasn't such a good idea. Even drunken sailors couldn't have run up a bar tab this high.

Article 1, Section 8, Clause 1 -

This is the career politician's favorite clause in the entire Constitution. Congress has abused this clause probably more than any other, to the tune of taxing and spending this Republic into a fiscal operating debt of $30 trillion and unfunded liabilities of more than $200 trillion.

It is imperative that we reform this clause with a Constitutional Amendment that requires Congress to control their spending and balance the budget.

Article 1, Section 7, Clause 3 -

All resolutions that pass both Houses of Congress, with the exception of adjournment, must be presented to the President for either approval or veto, the latter of which may be overridden by a two thirds vote in both Houses.

Article 1, Section 7, Clause 2d -

The President has ten days to return a bill to Congress, otherwise it shall become law without his signature. However, should Congress adjourn during that ten days, the President may veto a bill by simply refusing to sign it. Since Congress is adjourned, the bill cannot be returned to them. This latter case is called the "pocket veto."

In all cases, votes in Congress are determined by yeas and nays, with the names of members and their votes recorded in the journal of each respective House of Congress.

Article 1, Section 7, Clause 2a -

Bills that are passed in Congress are presented to the President for either his signature or veto. Bills signed by the President become law; bills vetoed by the President are returned to Congress for reconsideration.

Article 1, Section 7, Clause 1 -

All bills for raising revenue, chiefly taxes, must originate in the House of Representatives, the House of Congress that is most directly accountable to the American people. The Senate, however, may propose or concur with amendments.
