Before anything else, we need to say this first...
We want to thank Tanna Jacobs from the bottom of our hearts for everything she has brought to the Lady Possum character over the past two years... Tanna always showed up and showed out for the character!She gave everything she had to this role and loved the fans to the very end. That level of dedication cannot be taught and it cannot be replaced!
Tanna is moving to Alaska to start a family and begin a new chapter in her life and career. And is stepping away from her role as Lady Possum. We wish her all the happiness and success in the world. Please know that we love her very much and she will forever be part of the Lady Possum legacy.
With that said, this morning Refinery Films is officially opening the search for a female performer to step into the role of Lady Possum.... And just so it is known Tanna will have a hand in picking her successor...
Lady Possum herself is evolving. She is moving away from the more silent masked villain and into the monstrous anti hero she was always meant to be.
This role relies heavily on body language.
The way you hold yourself.
The way you stand.
The way you move.
Animalistic and possum-like movements should be indicative of your character's core. Not just anybody can play Lady Possum... IT TAKES GUTS. IT TAKES HEART...IT TAKES COUTH!!!
NO PRIOR FILM EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
Casting requirements
Female performers only!
Height between 5 ft 4 and 5 ft 6 MEDIUM or SMALL JACKET SIZE.
Athletic build. (Thick, Voluptuous.)
Preferably blonde hair..(or willing to dye your hair.)
Candidates must be comfortable with..
Multiple autograph signings throughout the year...
Multiple photo shoots throughout the year..
Weekly update meetings..
Strong fan interaction and public appearances...
Must be self-reliant on promotion of the character...
Filming dates:
May 10 through June 1 for Fashion Killerz
July 15 through July 20 for a half hour episodic vertical GRINNERS iteration...
There may be 4 to 6 conventions throughout the second half of the year, with most appearances taking place in the fourth quarter...
Compensation is based on yearly percentage participation, including physical media sales, streaming sales, and merchandise sales involving the Lady Possum character..
This is not an easy process for me....
Lady Possum is my Freddy Krueger.
She is my Michael Myers... She is the underground's favorite horror villain right now... And Tanna is like the little sister to me and she's going to be hard to replace...
The role is precise, demanding, and personally rewarding.... Did I mention that this role is very demanding?!?!.. If I didn't mention that above, I'll just let you know right now that this role is very demanding!
