Our Debbie Boone represented the buyer in facilitating the sale of the historic “Cobblestone Castle” in Downtown Mount Clemens this month. This castle style building was constructed in 1909 to be a doctor’s office and has served many purposes since. Seriously, who wouldn’t want to be able to say, “my office is a turret”? 🤩

Congrats to Debbie and the new king and queen of the castle!

What a beautiful morning it will be for this year's Turning Point,'s Tara's 5K Walk & Run at Freedom Hill this Saturday! Walk up registrations accepted until race time at 10:30.

Our Jim Ketchum has been working hard in the community with the Mount Clemens Lions Club to put together a great 33rd Annual Grand Prix, soapbox style derby race for tomorrow morning on the Crocker Bridge in Downtown Mount Clemens. Read about all the details in the attached Macomb Daily article.

A couple of weeks ago, as a team, we proudly attended the Macomb County Chamber's Hall of Fame, in support of our Susan Blanchard, who was one of this year's inductees.

While we are a company that believes we are only as good as our most recent deal and are always looking/moving forward, we couldn't have been any prouder of Sue's well-deserved recognition.

What we also learned, and were blown away by, is just how many of our local businesspeople are giving their time and energy to community service. The Honorable Joseph Toia reminded us all, in the great words of Muhammad Ali, "service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth".

ALL of these inductees have paid their rent and some of ours as well! In the link below is the video recording of the ceremony for anyone who may want to catch some of "rent paying" inspiration we all caught at the Mirage Banquets & Catering on August 21st.

We'll be covering this more in-depth next week but, we can't let the day pass without mentioning how proud we are of our Susan Blanchard after she and four others were celebrated last night at Mirage Banquets & Catering at the Macomb County Chamber Hall of Fame induction dinner. The chamber said it best, “each has given selflessly of their time, talent, and resources to lift others up and strengthen our community".
Congratulations to Sue and the other inductees. After watching the videos and listening to the speeches, they were all well-deserved and earned. 👏👏👏

Susan (Sue) Blanchard is President of Anton, Sowerby & Associates Commercial Real Estate Services. She began her career in banking and quickly rose through the ranks to commercial lending, where she earned a strong reputation for her financial expertise, integrity, work ethic, and ability to build meaningful relationships.

In 2012, Sue transitioned to commercial real estate and quickly rose to become the firm’s top producer and President of Anton, Sowerby & Associates. She credits her success to the same principles that guided her early career – discipline, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to serving others.

Sue brings that same professionalism and pride in her work to her community involvement. She serves on the boards of Turning Point and the Clinton Valley Kiwanis, is active in her church, and is a member of the Air & Space Forces
Association – Michigan.

Not every commercial real estate transaction is "quick & easy" (we just make it look that way😁). Understanding a property's history, potential environmental issues, best usages, connecting with the right buyers and having the negotiation and industry skills necessary to put the right deal together and get it closed is what makes the difference between having a license to practice real estate and commercial real estate professional. Congrats to our Jim Ketchum on this recent closing.
