This morning when I took Ralph out to potty, two off-leash big dogs came running and barking at us. Luckily we were 3 steps from the door and were able to get inside quickly.

They probably just wanted to play, but rushing up to another dog is impolite and inappropriate. I also didn’t know these dogs and didn’t want to risk Ralph’s safety to find out whether they’re friendly or not. With all the fatal dog attacks recently, I’m not taking any chances. My dogs’ safety and well-being are my top priority and I don’t care if I offend another dog owner by not allowing my dogs to interact with theirs.

What would you have done in this situation? 🐶

People often see small dogs like me as just lazy little house pets.. but we are so much more than that! 🩵

We can go on nature hikes, explore the neighbourhood, learn fun tricks (and boring ones too, like going in the crate), do dog sports, etc. 🌲⛰️🐾

Personally, I would hate to be a couch dog lol I looove being outside and doing dog things!
