Finally got out to check on the crappie at my local lake and found a nice mess of eater fish. Caught them on a 1/32 oz Mississippi Jig Company black and gold hair jig and 1/16 oz Thermocline Lures hex wedge jig tipped with a 1.5” black emerald shiner tadpole. 14’ Dobyns Hyperlite jigging rod paired with a MAD Fishen MR-100 reel is a deadly combo! Showed the pleasure boaters a lil’ rooster tail while I was at it 🤘

Enjoying a little downtime from chasing the tournament trails.

Took the kids out for a couple hours this morning and they snatched a couple crappie! Caught them today on a Thermocline Lures 1/16oz hex wedge jig and 1.5” swamp thang tadpole and also a 1/32 oz Mississippi Jig Company hair jig. We made some great memories!

We started Day 2 Crappie Masters Eufaula off in 7th and ended 7th overall. Not the finish we wanted…but given the condit...

We started Day 2 Crappie Masters Eufaula off in 7th and ended 7th overall. Not the finish we wanted…but given the conditions…I’ll take it! We saw a big temperature drop overnight and high winds both days. Needed a couple big kicker fish but just didn’t run across them.

Shout out to the folks that help support me and make this happen! Catch you on the next one.
