Duplin County Schools has released information regarding anticipated bad weather in the area. At this time, all afternoon activities will proceed as scheduled and will conclude by 7 p.m. today, Monday, December 8th.

Duplin County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Tuesday, December 9th, for students and staff.

Due to anticipated inclement weather, the tree lighting ceremony that was scheduled for Friday, December 5th will not be held this year.

The joy & warmth of the holiday season can still be enjoyed as the community gathers for the Christmas Parade that will be held on Saturday, December 6th at 10 am.

A benefit for Rita’s Rescue will be held Friday, Oct. 10, from 6-8 pm at R&R Brewery in Mount Olive. This event will also celebrate local firemen as the Mount Olive and Dudley fire departments compete in a mustache contest.
