𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗜𝗻 𝗥𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗴𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗼 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟭𝟮/𝟭𝟯 𝗔𝘁 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸

Southeast Gassers Association drag racing had scheduled for May 30 the qualifying and eliminations of the third race in the championship season for 2026. The Rumble In Ringgold presented by Harbin's Mechanical Services will not rumble with the roar of SEGA power as scheduled. Instead, it seems by the impending forecast that the thunder will rumble at Brainerd Motorsports Park. This has pushed track and SEGA officials to the decision to postpone the event.

“It’s been tough, it’s been a rollercoaster” was Leslie Horne’s (SEGA owner and competitor) statement concerning watching the weather change radically for the worst up to the postponement decision. He continued concerning the situation saying, “We really don’t have any other choice but to postpone – great news is that Amy [Brainerd Motorsports Park Track Manager] has worked with us tirelessly to find an open weekend to race.” SEGA championship drag racing will race in northern Georgia and remain as the third race on the 2026 season schedule.

The new date for the Rumble In Ringgold is June 12th and 13th at Brainerd Motorsports Park. Race three on the season for 2026 in SEGA drag racing will ignite Friday at 5:00PM Eastern with a SEGA only test and tune (gates open at 3PM ET - $20 admission). Saturday will showcase qualifying at 1:00PM Eastern with championship eliminations to follow ($25 admission - $35 weekend pass). 𝗠𝗮𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱

FAIRFIELD, Ohio — The International Hot Rod Association announced today that the 2026 IHRA Triple Crown Finale originally scheduled for Darana Memphis Motorsports Park has been moved to historic Darana Raceway Maple Grove Park, creating the historic Triple Crown x2 doubleheader weekend at one of drag racing’s premier facilities.

As much as the IHRA wanted to return to Darana Memphis Motorsports Park this season, scheduling constraints and the limited number of available weekends made it impossible to
accommodate all Triple Crown events on the 2026 calendar.

The result is a once in a lifetime opportunity for race fans and competitors alike. Darana Raceway Maple Grove Park will now host Triple Crown x2 during an action-packed four-day weekend, Sept. 10-13, featuring two IHRA Triple Crown events and some of the highest payouts in drag racing history.

The IHRA Triple Crown series will begin June 19-20 at Darana Raceway in Hebron, Ohio, before concluding with the historic Triple Crown x2 weekend at Darana Raceway Maple Grove Park in September.

The first IHRA Triple Crown event at Darana Raceway Maple Grove Park will feature qualifying on Thursday, Sept. 10, with eliminations on Friday, Sept. 11. The second Triple Crown race will include qualifying on Saturday, Sept. 12, followed by eliminations on Sunday, Sept. 13. Fans will experience the thunder and excitement of 12,000 horsepower Top Fuel Dragsters and Funny Cars blasting down the 1,000 foot racing surface at speeds exceeding 340 mph while chasing some of the highest payouts in drag racing history.
The million dollar IHRA Triple Crown bonus will be up for grabs for competitors in Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Mod, Mountain Motor Pro Stock and IHRA Pro Stock. Any driver capable of sweeping the entire IHRA Triple Crown series, including the June 19-20 opener at Darana Raceway in Hebron, Ohio, and both Darana Raceway Maple Grove Park events, will earn a staggering $1 million bonus, creating one of the biggest paydays in drag racing history.

Also competing for huge payouts and bragging rights during the historic weekend will be Top Fuel Motorcycle, Nitro Harley, Fuel Altered, Outlaw Pro Mod, Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car competitors.

Single-day tickets are $40, with fans receiving a $10 discount when purchasing tickets online through IHRA.com. Weekend passes for the entire four-day doubleheader are available for $100. Fans are encouraged to secure tickets early and witness the sport’s top stars chase record- setting speeds, massive payouts and a potential million dollar payday. It has been a hectic, emotional, and trying 9+ days. But!!!! 3rd and final surgery has been completed on this beautiful Sunday afternoon. It’s been a rollercoaster as we were scheduled to have surgery on Thursday, then pushed to Friday, then Saturday. Finally by the grace of God, surgery happened today at 10 am. It was a very lengthy and extensive surgery from what was explained. Nerve, ligament and muscle damage was severe and required a lot of repairs and attention. But we’re back. It’s a long road of recovery with lots of follow up visits and physical therapy. It’ll take me 6-8 months to get back to 100% but every day we will get closer.

I can’t thank everyone enough for their continued support, prayers and thoughts. I’m sorry I haven’t been able to reach back out to everyone, but your messages have not gone unnoticed.

I can’t thank my family, mom and dad, for sitting here multiple hours a day and playing the waiting game with me.

Lastly, certainly not least, Krista Suydam has been my angel. She has stayed by my side through all the ups and downs of this emotions rollercoaster. I’ll never know what I did to deserve her, but she’s definitely my biggest blessing. To my future wife, thank you so much for never leaving my side. And thank you for taking care of me every day. From walking with me, to showering me, to helping me use the bathroom, and changing my bandages on my legs. I love you more than you’ll ever know ❤️ I don’t know how I’ll ever repay you. Thank you baby.

As far as recovery. Doctors say it will be a minimum 5-6 days left in this wonderful Tucson facility before they can release me. With that being said, I can’t thank everyone who has come to visit me enough for stopping by, at this time I ask that we keep the visitations to a zero. I would like to take this week to focus on my recovery process so I can get back home. Thank you to everyone for their continued thoughts and prayers. We will be back!
