Few actually know that Algonquin is home to one of many dedicated 9/11 Memorials that are built to honor and remember the 2,977 lives lost...including 343 FDNY firefighters, 23 NYPD officers, and 37 Port Authority police officers who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Located right along the Fox River, this simple yet profound memorial features a steel beam recovered from Ground Zero, set inside a Pentagon-shaped brick base.
It is a quiet, powerful space for reflection and a tangible way to teach the next generation about the courage, sacrifice, and history of that day.
