💛 September is World Su***de Prevention Month 💛
World Su***de Prevention Month reminds us that every person matters, every life has value, and no one should feel like they have to face difficult moments alone.
For people with developmental disabilities, having access to supportive relationships, meaningful connections, communication tools and the right resources can make an important difference.
This month, we encourage our community to:
💛 Check in with someone who may be struggling
👂 Listen without judgment
🤝 Let people know they are not alone
💬 Talk openly about mental health and emotional well-being
🌱 Help connect people with trusted support and resources
Sometimes, a simple “How are you doing?” can open the door to a conversation that matters.
If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis or having thoughts of su***de, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. If there is an immediate danger, call 911.
Together, we can build communities where people feel seen, valued, supported and connected. 💛
