Chico Marketplace
We are excited to announce that the Call for Entries for Chico Marketplace’s 2026 Biz Kidz event launches June 15th and runs through July 19th. Biz Kidz is an annual event giving young entrepreneurs the opportunity to enter their business ideas for the chance to set up shop and sell their products at Chico Marketplace! Kids can enter in two different age groups, 6-11 and 12-17 years old. 10 businesses will be selected from each age group to participate in the showcase on August 8th! The entry form for the event may be found at ShopChicoMarketplace.com/BizKidz beginning June 15th.

The selected entrepreneurs will be eligible for great prizes for both age groups. Monetary prizes will be handed out to the Best Overall Entrepreneurs. The winner of Best Overall Business will be awarded a grand prize of a $250 gift card and a one-hour meeting with Eva Shepherd-Nicoll, Executive Director of ChicoStart. Butte County office of Education will be attending the event and sharing resources that they offer. Both organizations are sponsors of the Biz Kidz event.
