This loss is one of the hardest. This sweet girl was one of the very first goats we ever got. My goat momma heart is literally broken. She was the biggest pet.
I knew she was exhausted from being pregnant with twins and over it. We had closely monitored her, putting her in the barn stall by herself, making sure she had constant fresh bedding and water. Anthony sat with her for hours last night, during the storm. We decided that we were going to take her to the vet first thing this morning. Well, she didn’t make it thru the night.
It never gets any easier with any loss, most of them i bawl my eyes out with, and this one is no different This one I will forever beat myself up about though. Something told me she wasn’t acting right and I didn’t listen to that instinct. I will never get over feeling like I failed her.

Baby updates, and pool daze.

We have had 6 baby goats and 2 lambs born this week and 2 goats born last week. Apparently there was an unsupervised party about 5 months ago. 😐 🐑 🐐

A set of lambs and a set of baby goats both born Monday. 🐐🐑
Lord, please protect our herd, especially all the new mommas and babies. Everyone has fresh straw, and tarps..but my heart will still worry as we go enter into a ‘Frostbite and Hypothermia advisory’.
