We need your help!

Are you looking to volunteer and help out in the community?

Posey County Council on Aging has the perfect opportunity!

Our Meals on the Move program is looking for volunteers three days a week. The volunteers will help with meal prep and distribution.

The goal of this program is to deliver home cooked meals to homebound individuals living in Posey County.

If you know someone or a local business send them our way!

A Message From Chuck Gray concerning Mt Vernon Water

The river is stagnant and has an overgrowth of algae and zero oxygen. Not only does it smell bad, its killing all the fish. We are using everything we can to kill the taste and odor.
We cannot add anymore chemicals at this time.
Added: He said it is safe to drink!

Have you got a 5-7 year old child, grandchild or neighbor that would sure look adorable up on that stage?! Then our Mt. Vernon River Days Little Miss & Mr. Pageant is just the place to bring them! lol! 😂 You have until Sept. 1 at 5pm to complete the registration form for them little darlings! 😉

We hope you’ll join us to support all the kiddos at 6pm on Friday, September 12th at River Days!
